Green cleaning is when we use products that are safe for the environment and do not emit any pollutants when used. It is important to use green cleaning not only for the environment and our planet but for the health of our customers, employees, and the general public.

Having a toddler and baby at home, we wanted to make sure the products we were using in our home were safe. There are many surfaces little fingers and mouths can touch in your house and knowing that the cleaning products you are using are non-toxic will put your mind at ease.

Pregnant women and children that are five years old and younger are very susceptible to harmful chemicals in the air. When making the transition from using traditional cleaners to environmentally friendly ones, you’re creating a much safer atmosphere for the whole family.

You can reduce pollutants in your home by better insulation and by using the safest most natural ingredients when cleaning.

It is important for employees of cleaning companies to learn and understand the dangers that may be present when cleaning. A simple task of clearing out the trash bins or cleaning spills, safety precautions are still important. Blood borne pathogens are microorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause disease in humans.

Blood borne pathogens are in a person's blood and/ or saliva. It can be transported through the nose and mouth area as well as, any open cuts. Such diseases as Hepatitis B (HBV) & HIV are the main reason why safety is extremely important for anyone working in an environment likely to be exposed to such diseases in fluid.

Employees can take simple steps to ensure safety and prevent exposure. One must always think any fluid found is contaminated. Never assume, as one may never know. As long as you have the proper protective items you will be able to manage safely with no worries. Along with protecting ones'self we also have to fully disinfect the affected area plus ,any equipment used in the clean up. This will help prevent spreading any diseases.

Being green can make our company standout even more than it already does in a small rural community. Many residents here enjoy the views, lake, and scenery. By marketing a chemical that is not harmless to the environment we will be able to show how small of a footprint our company leaves in this county.

By also showing how “Green” our company is we will be able to help expand our services. Many schools and Hospitals prefer the natural cleansers than harsh chemicals such as bleach and others. Being able to get in to these areas will allow us to give back to our community and help reduce the sickness rates and absent rates that our county has a problem with.

Due to the line of work my company does in the Restoration Business, being a Green Cleaning Service will help make us not be just another company. By implementing All Natural and Green Cleaning this will bring many customers interest in our company. Due to our area being very rural making us stand out more with new and improved cleaning techniques will help our company grow.

We run into many elderly homes, people with Asthma, and sensitive clients that can not handle the smell of the other chemicals. We have already implemented All-Natural Chemicals and the clients are very happy with how clean and nice there home looks and smells when done. This also helps prevent unforeseen damage when using regular chemicals as they can damage items just due to the item finish. Going Green will really open more doors for our company.

When finding a green cleaning service it’s always good to do the research. The cleaning industry is starting to boom with green cleaning services, now more than ever. More and more companies their own cleaning solution that may not be up to par with your health and green cleaning standard. With IJCSA our cleaning service go through a highly informative and innovative green cleaning certification program, that insures the top quality in services.

Remember, green cleaning refers to using cleaning methods and products with environmentally friendly ingredients and procedures which are designed to preserve human health and environmental quality. Green cleaning techniques and products avoid the use of products which contain toxic chemicals, some of which emit volatile organic compounds causing respiratory, dermatological and other conditions. IJCSA promotes cleaner business by recognizing and  meeting the growing industry demand for eco-friendly  and sustainable products.

One of the major benefits to this kind of business is that conventional cleaning solutions can produce noxious fumes, especially when combined with fumes from other chemical-based cleansers.  This leads to chronic health conditions for workers in conventional cleaning services and potentially for the occupants of the home.  Thus, it is healthier for you and your workers, and a major satisfactory point for your business. Being a Green and environmentally friendly cleaning company will make your company stand out from the crowd.  Your company can use this for marketing and will work well in sales calls and when placing bids.  In this very competitive industry any way to make your company stand out from the crowd will help to land more business.

Although we are all here to make our business strive and be successful we all as human beings owe it to one another and our planet to do what we can to be more green and environmentally friendly.  We need to be more aware of harsh cleaners we are using.  We can also reduce wasted products and recycle when we can.

The information provided by the http://www.ijcsa.org/ has opened my eyes to dangerous agents used daily such as Bleach and ethyl cellosolve that I may not otherwise have realized were so harmful.  I believe in using green products as much as possible now.

The benefits of having a green cleaning program in place are numerous. The green cleaning practices span such a wide spectrum of environmental concerns such as employee (and client) health and well-being, by virtue of cleaning agents being consciously manufactured to contain low allergens, and being non-caustic, non-toxic, and containing 100% biodegradable cleaning compounds.

Moreover, there are other practices that will greatly benefit a cleaning services such as, Installing the proper floor mats at every entryway to trap dirt and other pollutants from entering the building, and using only HEPA filtered vacuum cleaners to prevent dust from kicking up and being breathed in.

In summary, the dirt that is removed must be discarded into a location that is far from the facility you are working on. By using cleaning agents that are 100% biodegradable, you can be assured that you are being a responsible cleaner and steward to the environment, and community by choosing and implementing a green cleaning program.

The dedication of EMP Cleaning Group to green cleaning and certification shows prospective clients our commitment for a healthy environment.

A company that is green cleaning certified is pretty appealing to those that see the benefit of improving the health of indoor quality using safe, eco-friendly products.

Being green cleaning certified will give my company and I tremendous satisfaction that we are doing something not only for the environment but the people who inhabit the places that we clean.

According to the American Lung Association, "many cleaning supplies can irritate the eyes or throat, or cause headaches and other health problems. Some products release dangerous chemicals including volatile organic compounds, VOC'S, into the air." By using sustainable, eco-friendly cleaning products along with applying a good green cleaning program for our clients that is safe for the environment and for the people that inhabit homes and offices, we will be doing our part to protect the population and environment.
