Bloodborne pathogens are a serious concern for cleaning employees.  It’s important that all cleaning personnel understand what bloodborne pathogens are, what hazards they possess, how to prevent exposure and the procedures for post exposure.  Bloodborne pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). These diseases can be transferred through blood and bodily fluids.  It is important that cleaning employees and staff understand the importance of these hazards and follow guidelines on safety.

OSHA has created guidelines for employers on how to implement control measures, universal precautions, hazard communication and record keeping.  Work practices should be explained to the employees and enforcement of the procedures should be a top priority.  Understanding the importance of using Personal protective equipment, disinfectants and the post-exposure steps are critical in those working in facilities that have possible contact with bloodborne pathogens. Eating, drinking smoking, applying cosmetics or lip balm, and handling contact lenses are prohibited in work areas where there is reasonable likelihood of occupational exposure to body fluids.

Employers must implement a safety program so employees understand and follow the rules for working with bloodborne pathogens. They must wear the proper PPE, use the appropriate cleaning products and equipment when working in these facilities. A universal precaution is an approach to infection control to treat all human blood and certain human body fluids as if they were known to be infectious.

To have a Green Cleaning Program is basically having a responsible program that has the best interest for your workers and the people that reside/work at the location being cleaned.

The benefits of using a Green Cleaning Program would be to improve the productivity and morale of workers knowing quality, safe products are being used.  This also reduces worker's liability due to utilizing those safe products.  Your business will also flourish because of the preferred cleaning practices being used.  Ultimately as a company, you can go home with a peaceful mind knowing that you are doing a great thing for your community.

As the fear of Coronavirus spreading, everyone is scrambling to stop the virus by frequently disinfect cleaning and washing hands. The fundamental of a properly disinfectant is Bloodborne Pathogens and Needlestick Prevention.

Bloodborne Pathogens trained workers will correctly disinfect and clean to stop the spreading of the virus which can damage human body or death.

The effects of the properly disinfectant is great, especially as now because of this Covid-19, it’s all over the news that the only way to stop the virus is disinfectant correctly.

Proper training in BP is the law. Cleaning service owners or companies can be fined over 75k or more by OSHA (Federal Government) per employee if sickness or death occurs, along with being sued by the employee or their family makes training imperative for all.

Great customer service is the cleaning industry is, in general, similar to great customer service anywhere else. Employees should smile, make eye contact, and practice active listening (repeat what the client said, and ask questions to clarify). Clients need to feel heard and respected.

Janitorial staff should be respectful to the clients. They should be responsive to what the client needs. Treat clients with dignity and empathy above all else, no matter how difficult the situation is. Tasks should be performed as requested by the client. Finally, treat the client's space or belongings with upmost care.

IJCSA certified staff are trained in great customer service. To find IJCSA members in your local area, visit https://www.ijcsa.org/Find-A-Cleaning-Service-Janitorial-Service.

First of all, we need to distinguish why a prospect should choose us over our competition. If we don’t understand that, it is tough to succeed in this field. After we figure out who we are and what kind of services we provide, we need to create a professionally designed logo for our company because it helps us look like a professional, trustworthy business. Also, social media have a very important role when we advertise our business.

Also, there is one thing that I would like to talk about, and it is the importance of the creation of irresistible special offers to make our phone ring. We need to interest our prospects in making them try out service. What about current customers? We need to reward them to keep with us. So it means that a special offer is not an afterthought for any business.

First of all, I would like to say that it is important to have a carpet cleaning service if you have a cleaning company. It makes your business more complete when you have many kinds of cleaning services. Also, it means that it will positively influence the financial positions of your business.

The first and most important step when you are going to implement a carpet cleaning program into your business is writing the business plan. It is tough to make the right decisions when you don’t have a plan. The second step is getting yourself trained and certified. It is important to be aware of what you are doing. Then make sure that your team is trained as well.

I think these steps are the most important when you are planning to implement the carpet cleaning program into your business.

It is of vital importance that an employer gains knowledge and educate their employees on blood borne pathogens.  By acquiring these information employers can then provide proper training that will help their team safe guard themselves, colleagues and the general public from contracting illnesses that can be easily transmitted if it comes in contact with mucus membrane in example the nose and mouth.

When this information is filtered to the staff, they begin to practice health and safety that is requires examples wearing the correct personal protective equipment(PPE) lowering the risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens. They will also begin deposing of garbage and linen using color coded bags making it easier for other team members to identify the contaminated materials.

When an employer and their team practice the standard of infection control, following OSHA precautions for blood borne pathogens and implementing their Exposure control plan, this will minimize the risk of exposure thus protecting themselves., customers and the wider public.

Proper cleaning in healthcare facilities is the first line of defense in protecting ourselves and others from germs, viruses, diseases and infections. Facilities should be cleaned according to standards by OSHA and appropriate cleaning products should be used just for healthcare facilities.  In fact, with so many people visiting healthcare facilities and people being seen by healthcare professionals on a daily basis it is imperative that those facilities are cleaned properly.  Due to the increased risk of infection from blood or other bodily fluids, OSHA maintains a strict cleaning regime for all health care facilities; to make sure everyone is doing what it takes to keep a safe and healthy environment.

Currently with the recent pandemic swarming around among many nations, the cleaning needs of healthcare facilities are a must. Consistent cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing are vital in keeping healthcare facilities up to standard.  In order to keep everyone entering and leaving the facility safe and healthy, all cleaning personnel need to be well trained in how to clean a healthcare facility. A link is provided below that will help get your employees trained and certified with the cleaning standards associated with healthcare facilities: https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices

The CDC and other healthcare organizations provide in-depth information in regards to training and cleaning healthcare facilities. We believe that it is important that everyone involved has an understanding of the basic beliefs and the importance of keeping healthcare facilities clean and disinfected.
