As I am looking to become Green Cleaning Certified with my company, as other companies listed on the IJCSA "Green Clean Service Directory." I have noticed the benefits in implementing a green cleaning program, and have become more aware of  my own ecological footprint.

Professionally, New Beginnings will have more opportunities to share this knowledge in networking and bill-boarding.

Going green is not only about cleaning products. It also entails gas fumes, smoke, electricity being left on at home and more. From the health of our employees, to businesses (clients), our ecological footprint (green cleaning), reduces pollutants into the environment.

We as people need to take responsibility today for our tomorrow. Awareness brings accountability, accountability brings responsibility, and responsibility brings opportunity to do better!!

Janitors and Janitorial staff are very important to every business. Not only do Janitors clean but they also may do light maintenance  to keep a building clean and safe.  They may be asked to mow a lawn, change light bubs and more. They are the ones to give the public their first impressions of the company they are coming to.

They are a first step in keeping the building clean and sanitized. They help us from getting sick when proper cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing are done. They clean and disinfect bathrooms, make sure all garbage is picked up and properly disposed of, the windows are cleaned and so much more.

There are many aspects of the job to keep a building clean. For instance, having the tile and grout cleaned at recommended times (Condor Specialty Services INC ) as well as strip and waxes ( M&L Window Cleaning and Floors, LLC) will also keep a building safe and looking sharp along with everday cleaning to keep us all healthy.

Having a mod cleaning program is program to prevent structural and health issues. Mold can cause allergic reaction and irritants in most individuals. These reactions can catalyst symptoms such as sneezing, fever, rash, and red eyes. Mold can also trigger asthma and respiratory issues in other individuals. It is beneficial to keep mold under, in order to provide lifesaving services to clients.

As the owner of a Cleaning Company, I have the responsibility to educate my employees and myself in order to give a safe service to my community.

We are living a difficult time worldwide, education on how to handle this situations means follow rules and procedures every time we are completing a project. Small things like no eating, drinking, smoking nor applying lip balm while working will prevent illnesses. As part of the standards, training is basic with OSHA to understand the proper clean up and avoid a chain of infections like washing your hands before and after a contact is made with a client, using protective equipment like gloves, glasses and mask.

We want employees to be safe that is why we have to create an exposure control which will include: A determination of employee exposure by job classification. Implementation of varius methods of exposure control. Information on the Hepatitis B vaccination. Communication of hazards to employees and training requirements. Recorkeeping. Procedures for evaluating circumstances surrrounding exposure incidents. Post-exposure evaluation and follow-up. Implementation methods for these elements.

Bloodborne pathogens are pathogenic micoorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause infections and include: HBV, HBC and HIV. OSHA requires knowledge and application for universal precautions for cleaning companies - it could be life or death. Bodily fluids such as blood, vomit and saliva can contain bloodborne pathogens. According to the CDC, universal precautions says to use PPE to minimize exposure and to treat all fluids as infected.

At all times we must assume that all bodily fluids are contaminated. Always wear the right PPE for the job. Routinely inspect PPE to be sure they are in good condition. PPE includes fask masks, gowns, and gloves. It is important to never eat, drink or smoke in areas that we may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens. Never reuse sponges or towels that have been used to clean up of body fluids.

Always use color-coded and labeled disposal for laundry that is used and contaminated. Must be red or orange if transported to another location and placed into the bag or container within the area that it was used. It is important to use bleach or another EPA approved cleaning agent to thoroughly clean the area. If exposure occurs contact immediate supervisor and they will implement their plan in place. Always remember to wash hands and keep safety at the forefront of your mind!
