The dangers associated with having mold in your home or business are a continued discussion and has been for years. Having a mold-cleaning program is necessary. There are numerous benefits of having a mold-cleaning program, which includes reducing health risks, offer professional solutions opportunities and it can be identified at the source.

The health risks associated with prolonged exposure to mold are numerous. Having a mold-cleaning program will ensure that you are living in a much healthier environment. You cannot put a price on your health and continued exposure to mold is dangerous. Despite what others may tell, you no one can tell if a particular mold has mycotoxins or could cause you, or your family, any health problems.

Many people think they can take care of cleaning mold on their own but no matter how hard you try, your cleaning of mold cannot compare to that of a professional. Proper mold remediation does not just contain the cleaning of the mold but also includes getting airborne mold spores down to acceptable levels with the proper HEPA filtration equipment.

There is no use in having your home cleaned for mold if you cannot find the source. A professional will not only clean for mold, but they are also able to identify the source of the problem. Finding the source of the growth is the first step to eliminating mold growth and establishing a successful preventive program.

Being Green Cleaning Certified is without a doubt life changing. It's satisfying to know i'm making a positive impact toward the health of others, myself, and the environment. After all, the amount of toxic chemicals in the world today is unsettling.

I knew being Green Cleaning Certified would benefit me after my first study session. Being aware of our surroundings is very important, although there does seem to be a lack of observation in society these days.  Of course i've known there are plenty of hazardous products used and consumed today, but once reading how many solvents and other petroleum based chemicals have been shown to cause brain or other nerve damage (with repeated exposure) and "In the average American home, around 63 synthetic chemical products can be found", both stated by the IJCSA Green Certification course, I evoked an urge to protect myself, others, and the planet as a whole. (I must admit the motivation boost was somewhat of a surprise, yet suitable.) The green path has enlightened me to make a difference.

If i acknowledge others on unknown, or maybe even overlooked, risks maybe it will reverse caused harm to their health. If not the case or beside from reverse health risks, applying green practices may (at the least) improve morale and/or lost optimism within the degradation of the planet. More often than not, people want to change or make a difference in the world. Further, less use and/or production of damaging products to the ecosystem would help reduce global warming and overall serve the environment. Follow this Green Cleaning Services link to find others making a green difference today.

The damages of repeated exposure to toxic products seem a high price against avoidable and eco-friendly alternatives. Being Green Cleaning Certified offers benefits in a domino-like manner, starting with the individual. As health risks reduce and self-esteem increases with the green lifestyle and or certification, others recognize and are more likely to repeat such behavior. Ultimately the environment benefits from the healthy habits of its inhabitants. I imagine these events could show vigorous changes in Ecology--the interdisciplinary scientific study of the interactions between organisms and the interactions of these organisms with their environment (Green cleaning certification course). It's pleasing to know my habits are healthy for not only me, but my surroundings too.

Cleaning employees and staff may encounter situations involved with exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids. Removing trash like used syringes, bloody laundry contact, and cleaning vomit are all tasks connected to bloodborne pathogens. These pathogenic microorganisms are present in human blood and can cause diseases in humans. Hepatitis B (HBV-available at no cost for employees) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) are only a few examples of bloodborne pathogens.

While OSHA initially constructed the Bloodborne Standard in favor of hospital and healthcare staff, other occupations vulnerable to blood contact and/or toxic material have since adopted it as well. Common exposure to bloodborne pathogens happens when the mucus membranes (ex: mouth, nose, breaks in skin) of employees come in contact with bloodborne pathogens. Even body fluids like blood, saliva, and vomit may contain bloodborne pathogens.

The dangers of bloodborne pathogens can be avoided with precautions. Established by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, the Universal Precaution suggests blood and some body fluids should all be considered possibly infectious for patients. With this in mind, it's critical to follow suggested safety measures and your company's personal plan upon handling material. It's important to check equipment (esp. gloves) for damages or risks before use.  All equipment should be in unharmed, good condition. Disposable latex (or vinyl) gloves and eye protection should be worn whenever there's work with infectious material. Sometimes face masks and gowns are used as protective measures.  Avoid compressing garbage bags so sharp objects don't penetrate through (as well as laundry). Also, never splash or splatter a spill while cleaning or disposing. Never reuse a sponge or towel previously contaminated with cleanup. Tongs can be used to pick up contaminated, or sharp, items. Use an absorbent cleaning product for body fluid/liquid cleanups. Soiled laundry should be handled with little turbulence, bagged at the location (without sorting), and transported in labeled or color coded bags/containers. Different ways of color coding and labeling may be accepted if followed under universal precaution. If not available, bags must be correctly labeled and colored red or orange. Effectively sterilize any reusable, toxic equipment. Finish with the proper disposal of equipment through colored bags and/or containers. Finally, immediately wash your hands with an antibacterial soap after removing gloves.

Exposure? First you'll want to contact your supervisor right away. They will have specific instructions for the procedure. For the record, OSHA requires records from the employer of the exposure incident, for at least 3 years. Your physician should be notified as well. It important to watch your health and take note of any symptoms or changes.

Precautions against bloodborne pathogens in the workplace should be used to avoid illness and even death. Protective equipment can assist with safety. The goal is not only to guard thyself but equally or more importantly shield the safety, health, and lives of others. Reviewing annual updated exposure plans can further protection. Reducing the risk of bloodborne pathogen contact provides a safer environment for everyone.

I've spoken before about the benefits of green cleaning for people around you. Your customer, the people around them, their overall environment enjoys cleaner air, not burdened by chemicals from conventional cleaning tools. The environment gets a little more breathing room, your employees enjoy a good working morale, and better health as well. It's easy to see how these benefits would add to me as an individual, as well as my business.

I've mentioned how offering green cleaning adds a selling point to your brand, because of the benefits I mentioned earlier. The satisfaction of knowing you're helping conserve the ecosystem, being responsible and practically adept, helps me find more pride in the work. Natural, green cleaning components are a cost-effective way of providing cleaning solutions in several cases. Did you know an effective furniture cleaner can be made up of a mixture of vinegar, olive oil, and lemon juice? These are common household items you can use, that have no effect on the environment you apply them to.

As a company, the community that I service has the satisfaction that I'm providing an effective, elegant, but also eco-friendly solution to their problems. Green cleaning is not meant to lower service quality, but rather improve it. The title of a previous post was "There's no excuse to not hire green cleaning services", which I wholeheartedly believe. If companies are going out of their way to provide healthier, cost effective, and quality solutions for their clients, all the more reason to consider them.

Becoming IJCSA Green certified is a major advantage for your cleaning company. The standards set in this program make sure anyone running a cleaning service offers an eco-friendly, quality solution for their customers. As an individual, I feel better knowing I can do my trade without condemning the environment, while still helping the community. Look out for a green-certified company in this directory: http://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services

Green Cleaning defined means the use of products and methods that are environmentally friendly. Implementing a green cleaning program into your business can show positive results both in the short term and long. Speaking from personal experience, employees at offices I hold contract with have approached me and informed me they have noticed a change in the quality of air, that there is no longer that chemical musk lingering about.

Green cleaning products use naturally derived ingredients and scents that are both non-toxic and without harsh chemicals to breath in. In the short term, providing offices with pleasant aromas and eliminate the health issues that can result due to long term exposure of these chemicals.
