Janitor work is essential to any business. a clean workplace is the first thing people will notice. whether its a school, place of business or even your home. whenever you invite a friend over people will instinctively clean up because they want to make a good impression on the company they've invited over. its no different for any business or work place.

when custodians wipe down and clean surfaces they stop the spread of germs. it could be the difference between somebody getting sick or hurt. here at the city of Wilsonville its important to keep not only our co workers area clean but any area the public might access. whether its a public bathroom, a table used for studying at the library or a possible slipping or tripping hazard on a carpet or floor. Janitors are often the recon team for things that need to be addressed by facility techs.

Maintaining a good image is essential not only for individuals at there homes but for entities as well. How our city looks reflects on everyone and we want to let the public know that we care. and when people do come inside one of our buildings we want them to be able to enjoy it. And that goes for our co workers as well. if we address a mess that opens up free time for someone who isn't a janitor to focus on their task. instead of having to ask when their office trash that's been over flowing all week will be taken out. if we address the small things that frees up time for our co workers do address the big things.

Understanding what needs to be addressed in these buildings is important. especially in areas accessed by the public. Cleanliness is often the first thing public will notice and it reflects on everyone involved. when we we get special requests we strive to make sure its addressed fast and with care. and we often make that the standard moving forward to make sure the customer doesn't need to ask twice!
