Janitors and Janitorial staff are very important to our daily lives. They are the foundation of everyone walking into any place and being comfortable to lets say shop at the mall for that new outfit, or the grocery store and buying all your ingredients for dinner in a nice and clean space. If it wasn't for the janitor or cleaning staff, you would not step foot into a filthy building.

Janitors are the backbone for everyone enjoying shopping, eating, or even watching a movie in a nice and clean area. They are the ones that keep a place going and wanting one to go back. Cleanliness is the first thing someone notices when walking into a place and the proceeds with their agenda in hand. If you are in need of a janitorial service, please see IJCSA's Directory https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices

On that note remember when you do see a janitor or any cleaning staff just give them a small thank you, they are a huge reason you are able to enjoy your outing.

Maintaining a clean pathogen free environment is important for not only yourself but the community around you.

Learning about bloodborne pathogens in the cleaning industry is extremely important for the safety of your wellbeing. By understanding the potential risks associated with diseases such as HIV you are better equipped with the knowledge to implement the right protocols in order to properly clean up hazardous and dangerous messes.

This knowledge is an important aspect of professional cleaning services, ensuring the safety of both cleaning personnel and the communities we live in. Understanding when to use the right equipment in these situations can greatly decrease exposure to health risks and potentially harmful diseases.

Cleaning as I learned in our business Celestial Commercial Cleaning Service is not a commodity or luxury but simply a requirement and these requirements involve being knowledgable in Bloodborne Pathogens training and how to avoid infections for staff and visitors to a facility.

There are universal standards on how to be safe like using PPE including but not limited to safety glasses, masks, gloves, gowns and more. It is important to use PPE to prevent contamination especially when dealing with Bloodborne Pathogens.

OSHA recommends: "If you are stuck by a needle or other sharp or get blood or other potentially infectious materials in your eyes, nose, mouth, or on broken skin, immediately flood the exposed area with water and clean any wound with soap and water or a skin disinfectant if available. Report this immediately to your employer and seek immediate medical attention."

Bloodborne Pathogens can cause illnesses and long term effects on the health of cleaning employees and staff. For this reason, it is important to train the employees on the risks and how to prevent contact with bodily fluids that can possibly contain these bloodborne pathogens.

Cleaning employees and staff should learn what bloodborne pathogens are and what illnesses they can cause. They must clean areas with spills or accidents that may have been in contact with bodily fluids. For this reason, they need to understand the importance of always following protocol when cleaning these things.

In the Bloodborne Pathogen training, the cleaning employees and staff will learn about universal precautions. This is necessary for the employees to protect themselves from the risk of illness. They need to know what items will protect them. Learning how to dispose properly of the items that could be contaminated will keep them safe as well as others.
