For your safety all blood cleaning ups should be considered infected and proper ppe should always be used. You should always use approved products for the clean up to make sure the area is clean. Your safety is just as important as the safety of others. If blood splashes on you ,you should notify your supervisor so that the proper precautions can be taken. There hound always be a OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Control Plan made available so that if such instances occur it can be handled immediately. Always throw every sponge or towel away in the red bag labeled for hazardous waste so that everyone that comes in contact with it knows how to handle it. Always wash your hands properly after removing gloves to reduce your risk of contacting anything.

Creating good habits when encountering bloodborne pathogens can be a matter of life or death. It is important that we have and understand the best practices around the exposure to HIV and HBV. The pathogens can be found in human body fluids and are easily transmitted if handled carelessly.

There are several ways to protect yourself and the customer when cleaning. Preparing yourself to encounter these pathogens should start with Personal Protective Equipment. PPE supplies come in the form of gloves,  masks, and eye goggles. These items limit exposure to the existing bloodborne pathogens. In addition, disposing of contaminated items such as, needles, swabs, etc. in the proper receptacle is vital to eliminating potential exposure. These containers should be easily identifiable by labeling and color coding.

Every employee should be provided education on bloodborne pathogens, the PPE to prevent contamination of blood pathogens and the access to testing and treatment if exposed to bloodborne pathogens. This information will keep each employee and customer safe when encountering bloodborne pathogens.

Green products don't use harmful ingredients. Ingredients like formaldehyde, thiourea, pathalates and ammonia are ingredients you should look out for many of these ingredients are skin or lung irritants and some are even carcinogens. The one thing about using Green products they come with a more expensive price then everyday cleaning products. It also may take a little more work than the toxic chemicals. The pros to green cleaning is knowing your not going to damage any of the surfaces in the home or office overtime like the traditional products can. They are also better for the environment if using something that goes down the drain. What goes in our water and food system eventually comes back to us!!! They also don't have any harmful effects if you accidently come in contact with them to your skin or eyes.

    Going Green Is Always Better!!!

If anything the year 2020 has taught us, it is the importance of hygiene. With growing responsibilities, it has become difficult for many a household to maintain the cleanliness of their homes, whilst taking care of their day jobs and children. This is where the maid service comes into play.

House cleaning in the USA has relied upon the use of maid services by many families who appreciate the aforementioned fact. However, it is pertinent to understand that having merely any cleaner does not guarantee hygiene and cleanliness.

IJSCA is an association that ensures that cleaners are certified and educated in sanitation and safety protocols when using chemicals. IJSCA certified house cleaning services go through standardized procedures and training, which enable them to maintain high-quality hygiene standards and provide quality house cleaning through professionally trained cleaners.

Additionally, engaging an IJCSA certified maid service ensures peace of mind; knowing the service provider is reliable and can be left to take care of house cleaning independently. The IJCSA certified cleaners are also trained vis-à-vis Bloodborne Pathogens. This training includes lectures by medical professionals, ensuring that the cleaners are well educated and take the right safety precautions to not be exposed to or spread any lethal infections, such as hepatitis and HIV.

It is needless to say, trusting any service provider with your home and the health of your family requires that level of assurance and reliance. Nevertheless, it is recommended to consult an IJCSA member provider with your concerns and how they can satisfy your house cleaning needs.
