Lemon, salt, and white vinegar. Does it sound like ingredients you typically cook with? That is true, however, these all natural products can also be used for cleaning. For example, white vinegar has the potential to cut grease, and remove mildew and oil. Products like this are the foundation for Green Cleaning.

Green cleaning avoids chemically-reactive and toxic cleaning products that may release volatile organic compounds. Volatile organic compounds may cause respiratory and dermatological problems. Using natural cleaning products, won’t have any adverse effects. They are also less damaging to the environment and safer for humans and pets.

Interested in using products that are safe but just as effective as the products you’re used to? Green cleaning sounds like the choice for you! Green cleaning promotes the use environmentally-friendly ingredients and chemicals to preserve human health and environmental quality. Still interested? The goal of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard is to establish guidelines for organizations to develop a program providing information, training and to protect individuals from occupational exposures to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Pathogens are disease-causing microorganisms. Bloodborne pathogens are viruses or bacteria present in human blood and body fluids, which can infect and cause disease in humans.

The most common ways bloodborne pathogens spread are through sexual transmission or IV drug use. However, any contact with infected blood or body fluids carries the risk of potential infection.  It is important to understand what the hazards of bloodborne pathogens are, and what preventative measures you can take to protect yourself from exposure. Your attitude is a vital part of protecting yourself. The right attitude means taking Universal Precautions. This means that you treat all human blood and body fluids as infectious.

Personal Protective Equipment includes clothing and equipment worn by an individual during activities, which may result in exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Personal protective equipment always starts with gloves but may also include gowns, face shields, eye protection and pocket masks. An exposure incident is defined as a specific eye, mouth, nose or skin contact with potentially infectious materials.

Ocean Zone Cleaning Services will be marketed and promoted as a "Green Clean Company".  When bidding on a contract, customers will be educated about the benefits of green cleaning, and offered choices of green clean products.  In the best case scenario, customers will choose first from naturally homemade green clean products, and if unwilling to try them, they will then be offered  commercial green clean products.

Cleaning staff will also be educated on the benefits of green cleaning. They will be given actual scientific based articles and literature from IJCSA green cleaning resources.  A training period will need to occur, using homemade recipes for green clean products and trying them on actual household surface.

Finally, testimonials will be collected from clients that choose our green cleaning services and shared on social media websites to encourage other companies to consider changing their products to safe, nontoxic choices.  It is my strong belief that humanity needs to make a conscious choice to switch to green cleaning, in order to promote a healthier population and environment overall.

There are people in the world who are used to applying certain cleaning chemicals when cleaning their house.  Perhaps, those chemicals have been used in their homes since their childhood, and they do not know any others.  However, today's world is shining a bright light on the topic of environmentally friendly products and chemicals that are available for use.

Digging into the subject of these eco-friendly cleaning products, one can find out just how much damage the products they have been using for years may cause, or may have already caused, to them and to those around them.

For one, the harmful chemicals can affect people and their health.  Many of them cause allergies, rashes, respiration problems, and even more serious issues (for example, some chemicals--when ingested--can become deadly).  In addition, the "traditional" cleaning products are also harmful to the environment.  Many contain harmful agents that can kill animals, plants and other natural elements.  They are also non-biodegradable, which means that they leave this negative footprint behind them for years to come.

On the other hand, green cleaning products are allergen-free and toxin-free.  Green products are manufactured, packaged and distributed in environmentally-friendly fashion, and they are biodegradable.  Because harmful chemicals are omitted when creating green cleaning products, these products are healthier for humans, animals, plants, and the overall environment.

In summary, once people learn about the effects of non-green cleaning products, they can quickly see the overwhelmingly negative impact that those products have on their lives, and they can quickly conclude that using green cleaning products is the only way to go!  The following directory can be used to find green cleaning companies near you.

There are multiple facets to implementing a green cleaning program in a janitorial business. The three main factors consist of training employees in green cleaning principles, the primary use of green natural products, and regular utilization of green procedures.

Creating a green cleaning protocol is the initial step to implementing a program. This protocol should include standard training procedures including; safety protocols, inventory of green natural products and their corresponding uses and minimizing environmental impact through the minimized waste creation and appropriate disposal, reduced energy use, and appropriate use of specific green products. Through this training process, there is a consistent cleaning protocol followed by all employees. This consistency ensures the overall entity is implementing the reduce, reuse, and recycle procedures required for green cleaning. This also ensures the employee's safety because regardless of products being green inappropriate use or mixing of products can result in off-gassing or reactions that can be harmful to the employee and building occupants. Our overall goal is to improve environmental and human health by reducing unnecessary exposure to harmful products.

Green natural cleaning products are the only commercial products that can be guaranteed to meet the requirements of green cleaning needs. These products should replace the inventory of non-green products currently being utilized in janitorial operations. An alternative to store shelf green products is to use self-manufacturing products out of simple ingredients that are known to break down and reduce environmental and human exposure to waste by-products that may further react after use.

Lastly, the actual implementation of green procedures should include the use of all natural green cleaning products. However, this use should not be in excess, products should be used in only the minimal required quantities to reduce waste. Overall activities should reduce energy use such as turning off lights after completion of a job, utilizing manual methods as opposed to electronic equipment where necessary, and the appropriate disposal of waste and recycling.
