As cleaning staff, we must do all we can to keep our buildings as sanitary as possible. Therefore it is of utmost importance that we take every precaution, and in this case we are talking about mold. Roughly 40% of buildings in the United States have at least some amount of mold and we need to know how to tackle it. Now there are different types of mold, but if left unchecked it can turn into a huge problem and can cause all kinds of medical problems and even result in death.

I intend to use the new knowledge I will learn to help identify any mold that may form in the buildings my crew and I work on. Together we will soon be able to get any mold hazards taken care of and keep our city safe. Finally, I foresee us all learning about this on a personal level and helping not only ourselves but others with any mold problems that may arise. Perhaps from water damage, or various leaks or what have you.

I from the City of Wilsonville am so very grateful to have taken the Master Green Cleaning Certification test, I can't wait to use my newfound knowledge to help keep the city not only clean, but green. I loved learning about the different methods of green cleaning, I never knew that you could mix common household ingredients together to clean so many different things. Not to mention, the cost efficiency is undeniable and that it's cheaper to make your own products as opposed to buying chemicals.

I also learned that it's dangerous to mix certain ingredients together, not just bleach and ammonia, but mixing bleach and rubbing alcohol can create chloroform, which is highly toxic. Mixing things white vinegar with water or baking soda on the other hand is perfectly safe. Don't be afraid to experiment with different things but definitely use discretion and do plenty of research before mixing if you aren't certain.

The last thing I'll say is the one of the greatest benefits is the safety and lack of dangerous chemicals so pets and children along with people with allergies or asthma need not be concerned. Whatever your industry may be, it's always worth it to go for the green option, it will not only save you money but it will protect you and your colleagues. After all, we all live on this planet and we it to her and our fellow man to try our best to do our jobs not only as efficiently as possible, but as eco-friendly as possible.

First I have to admit I never realized how much cleaning is done in a hospital till I had to visit one my self.  After hit with the realization that cleaners can play a serious role in Healthcare.  By making sure the environment is not only is safe for themselves but staff and patients and visitors that may enter and leave a building.

Targeting Bloodborne Pathogens and any possible contaminated items (such as SHARP) uncapped needles etc along with removal and disinfection. Prioritizing Safety is what I truly I believe is a Certified International Janitorial Cleaner https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices.

All in all by following guidelines and strict protocols in a hospital setting. Cleaners help reduces the spread of Bloodborne Pathogens such Hepatitis B and C along with HIV cannot be spread.  Overall the cleaner the environment the happier the staff and patient will be.

I believe that knowing the importance of cleaning of both employees and staff about bloodborne pathogens could mean life or death. As employees and staff, we play a super important role in maintaining our health and safety in various environments specially when bloodborne pathogens may be present. knowing this is important because in these pathogens may be Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV which can cause serious health consequences if we are exposed to them. For these reasons, it is really important that cleaning personal must be educated about these risks as we may encounter potentially infectious materials in our daily assignments.

According to OSHA, " Bloodborne pathogens are microorganisms found in human blood and body fluids that can cause serious diseases when exposed" As employees and staff we must understand the dangers associated with bloodborne pathogens and for this reason we play super important role in taking the appropriate precautions. We must have an effective training on bloodborne pathogens especially the cleaning staff because this will help us to know what to do when we are expose to these pathogens. For example, we will know what personal protective equipment to use such as the kind of gloves, masks, goggles, and so on.

It is really important that cleaning staff must be educated about these risks that we may encounter because could be the difference between life and death. I believe that we must follow universal precaution such those provide d by OSHA which are specific standards for both employer and employees. For example, we fallow the "OSHA Exposure Control Plan" which is guideline that will help us to reduce the likelihood of exposure and maintain a safer work environment. If we follow these cleaning universal precautions established by OSHA, we will know what protocol to follow, report incident promptly, and apply preventive practices which could be the difference between life and death.
