Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms that can cause serious or life-threatening diseases to the exposed employees. The infection begins when the bodily fluid of an infected person enters the bloodstream of a healthy person. It can be through contaminated needle sticks, human bites, cuts, abrasions, or through mucous membranes. The disease that you can contract are but not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Due to the dangerous nature of bloodborne pathogens, it is a necessity to take precautionary measures and to be trained. Maintaining personal hygiene, using personal protective equipment (PPE), vaccinations, prevention, and emergency training are ways to keep a safe and healthy worker and client.

It is important to know about bloodborne pathogens so you can avoid getting sick and keep working in the field you are in. You should always treat any bodily fluids as contaminated and manipulate anything safely. Better safe than sorry. :)

It has been an enthusiastic weeks of May 2023 to complete my company's IJCSA Green Cleaning Certification in time to submit to the next bid document at DC government solicitation.

Being green cleaning certified professional or agent in the trading and service environment has many beneficial values, aspects and proactive implementations. The following summarizes the overall articles my company submitted earlier and presents concluding remarks before taking the test.

The first aspect of being certified IJCSA Green Cleaning Certification is to create a 'door opener' opportunity in the vast market my company operates. In the eyes of clients and other countless stakeholders' my company GMJ's green certification receive applaud and recognition.

The second aspect is that IJCSA Green Cleaning Certification surely helps us to drive the importance and vitality of green cleaning methods to deliver 100% environmental friendly service and air quality.

The third aspect is green cleaning eventually leads to effective environmental protection and societal living and health pro values. we will take part of this noble practice and adaptation to change for the common good of all.

Economic advantage is also another aspect of green cleaning and once we intensify our implementation program then it will have resultant effect on our cost savings and reduces the anxiety of consequential risks/claims.

In conclusion, my company GMJ will be taking advantage of IJCSA Green Cleaning Certification to bring a more green cleaner environment and to create more client satisfaction through green cleaning methods and practices. We speed up implementation of our earlier laid action plans with out delay and to the ensuing projects upcoming for the fiscal years 2023 - 2027. We will say 4 years from now what a green clean environment changes our prosperity and life elongation thanks to IJCSA. See you 2027!

On our last column writing of how being green certified partnership lends a hand to the societal well-being we presented the beneficial aspects of green cleaning towards the future position of all green partners of IJCSA.

Today we would like to make elaboration of harmful agents in our daily routines and cleaning operations with some remedial actions pin-point. We have cross referenced to the IJCSA study guideline and chemistry of chemical agents and their effects. At any rate our writing here underscores the real experience we gained and observed and composition of typical chemical agents we get used to conduct our cleaning services. With out any prejudice! We are a small local business enterprise from Washington, DC and trade named as GMJ Facilities.

Let us first introduce you list of chemical agents we normally use in our day to day cleaning service be it at home or work place - Isopropyl alcohol, Methanol for glass cleaners, all purpose cleaners (kerosene in one ingredient), formaldehyde, germicides, spray disinfectants, disinfecting cleaners, disinfecting hand soaps and lotion, et al. These list is by no means exhaustive! Some other less harmless agents like Lysol, fabulous, bleach etc. can not be neglected too.

How these chemical agents affect us on our daily operation has long been detected from their odor, touch, breath, eye sight, and nasal congestion. For instance formaldehyde affects our respiratory intake due to its presence in our cleaning chemical agents. All purpose cleaners and abrasives (use of kerosene) if used out of proportion affects lung tissues. While we do glass cleaning the chemical agent Methanol found in the spray might cause blindness. That is why the IJCSA and its green partners today advocates and harmonizes the concept, standards and use of green cleaning mechanisms to reduce the risk of potential hazardous chemical agents.

In a nut shell, we are aware of harmful effects of these chemical agents and paving way forward to green air freshen options, basic green cleaning agents for our cleaning services and use of natural window/glass cleaner. We keep on learning to green certification and take advantage of the facets for the successful implementation of green cleaning.

As for Bloodborne Pathogens training, they learned to keep the customer and themself safe from serious or life-threatening illnesses such as HIV, HBV, and HCV.

And finally, the Chemical Hazards training equipped them with the knowledge of how to handle chemical cleaning products safely.

As green partners and member of IJCSA our company GMJ Facilities advocates for harmless use of cleaning agents and works towards proactive risk control over harmful chemical cleaning services to our clients.

Many harmful effects have been written and documented by Environmentalists and associations like IJCSA to bring more awareness and to propagate more diverse use of harmless green cleaning agents. To begin with the following issues have been presented from our walks of life as an individual or as a green partner cleaning company.

    1. On our daily life routine - From the moment we woke up early in the very morning through daily routines we face bathroom cleaners - sodium hypochlorite/chlorine which harms our nasal illness. Besides, we use all purpose cleaners after we cooked and cleaned up our breakfast platers and utensils - Butoxyethanol that irritates hands or skins.

    2. In our day-to-day cleaning services examples like glass cleaners we use - Isopropyl alcohol has caused potential adverse health effects on eyes and inhalation to the lungs.

    3. Much use of chemical agents at work place have been exposing us and workforce long term systemic risks of health. That is why deterring mechanisms and harmless agents are being called out to reverse consequential risks discussed under 1 to 3.

Therefore, we uphold and continually exert implantation of harmless agents by becoming green cleaning partners through continuous learning process - as a matter of fact this post underscored the stages of development in the green certification effectively. We keep on learning!

For many centuries the world had been facing uncountable environmental crisis emanated from war, pollutions, deforestation, degradation, global warming etc. Experts from multiple industries have been addressing these issues and challenges and devising a way to overcome these challenges. One aspect of the most widely used area was cleaning agents and the frequency and severity of harmful substances the humans get used in their day-to-day life routines.

One vital breakthrough and discovery was heralded few decades ago thanks to international associations like IJCSA in order to circumvent the challenges and convert them into opportunities. The IJCSA has been instituting green cleaning companies commonly called 'green partners' to the environment through adoption of high standards of cleaning practice and new ways of green cleaning practices with harmonization and creation of awareness among stakeholders' (Government, Partners, Manufacturers, Households, Private & Public institutions, etc.).

Nowadays, most government and private institutions are being aware of green cleaning and looking for partners of green cleaning service providers. To meet this demand and create an eco-friendly environmental quality; green partners like GMJ Facilities and other alike service providers move forward to engage new pivotal cleaning methods by aligning environmental-friendly ingredients and chemicals to preserve human health and societal beneficial values.

The harmful effects of using everyday cleaning chemicals can be significant. Many traditional cleaning products contain harsh chemicals and toxins that can have negative effects on both the environment and human health. By using natural green products instead, we can reduce our impact on the planet and create a safer and healthier environment for everyone.

One of the main harmful effects of using everyday cleaning chemicals is the impact on the environment. Many traditional cleaning products contain chemicals that can be harmful to aquatic life, plants, and other organisms. When these products are used and disposed of improperly, they can pollute the air, water, and soil. This can have a negative impact on the environment and can lead to long-term damage.

Another harmful effect of using everyday cleaning chemicals is the impact on human health. Many traditional cleaning products contain chemicals that can cause respiratory problems, skin irritation, and other health problems. These chemicals can be particularly harmful to children, the elderly, and people with pre-existing health conditions. By using natural green products, we can reduce the risk of these health problems and create a safer and healthier environment for everyone.

Using natural green products can also be more effective than traditional cleaning products. Many green products are made from natural ingredients that are just as effective as traditional cleaning products, but without the harmful side effects. This means that we can provide a higher quality service to our customers while also reducing our impact on the environment and human health.

Another benefit of using natural green products is that they are often more cost-effective than traditional cleaning products. Many natural green products are made from inexpensive, renewable resources that are readily available. This means that we can provide a high-quality service while also keeping our costs low.

In conclusion, the harmful effects of using everyday cleaning chemicals can be significant. By using natural green products instead, we can reduce our impact on the environment and human health while also providing a higher quality service. Natural green products are often more effective, cost-effective, and safer than traditional cleaning products. By making the switch to natural green products, we can create a safer and healthier environment for everyone.
