There are many mold cleaning products out there but the one I have actually used in the past is the CLR Mold & Mildew cleaner, I’ve been using it for a few years now and I will say it does a good job on the tiles in bathrooms of course a decent size scrub is required lol; but with a little elbow grease if comes off very quickly just make sure to let the chemical set in for about 4 to 5 minutes giving the solution sometime to aggregate the surface and it comes off like magic! However, I am looking to find a better commercial solution. Any recommendations?

Mold can infect homes and commercial businesses, whether your business is an office building, healthcare facility, or even a warehouse mold is something every homeowner and business owner should take very seriously. However, having a mold cleaning program in place is paramount in any setting.  The benefits of having a mold cleaning program are beneficial because it reduces the chances of mold reproducing or coming back because mold spore is invisible to the naked eye, which can easily be transported by contaminated objects or consequently people.

Another benefit in having a mold cleaning program in place is identifying the problem at the source; being knowledgeable of molds and the various places they grow is key to recognizing potential areas which can be addressed, and the spread of mold can be prevented. Furthermore, having a mold cleaning program in place will reduce the health risk of your employees and customers, which is another benefit to your business because you won’t have to worry about worker’s compensation suits or legal fees due to mold sickness.

The importance of cleaning employees and staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens, is crucial in the fight to stop the spread of a disease.  Having an understanding of how to protect them themselves as well as to how to handle a cleaning were bloodborne pathogens exist can same many life’s. Not having the proper training puts not only the cleaning crew at a high risk of getting infected with a fatal disease but the people around them.

Understanding how to properly use the PPE can give the staff the confidence clean knowing that they are protected from getting infected. Also knowing what to do when an accident happens to them for example they had a skin cut and they touched blood knowing what to do and who to contact can help them get treated as soon as possible.

It is important to keep healthcare facilities clean, especially since the general idea of going there is to get better yourself or help someone else heal from their illness or injury.  "Above all else do no harm!"  This is the oath physicians and other medical providers declare when becoming a licensed professional.  It is considered hypocrisy to be getting paid to increase someone's health when one is in fact making the person's health decrease.  At times, a person's declining health cannot be stopped.  However, making sure interventions, such as a hospital stay, don't actually make someone worse is paramount.

Is is impossible to do accomplish this, if there is not a good infection control program in place at healthcare facilities.  Germs are carried into facilities many ways, and infections can be spread even when people don't intend to do so.  Staff members touch surfaces in the facility all day long, and it is important not to transfer one patient's germs to another.  It is also important working in a healthcare facility providing services is safe, or facility employees will be the next patient.  Frequent hand washing, Universal Precautions, the use of personal protective equipment, routine cleaning of the facility, and the use of disinfectants while cleaning all works together to prevent the spread of bacterial and viral pathogens.

Thorough cleaning and disinfection is a foundational service healthcare facilities cannot go with out.  Otherwise, they will do more harm than good.  Contact a IJCSA healthcare cleaning provider today by clicking here https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices

The International Janitorial Cleaning Services Association (IJCSA) has a reputation for producing members with thorough training and a desire to provide great service. There are many businesses that provide cleaning services, but not all businesses are the same when it comes to quality. Quality service means a provider takes the time to understand not only what you say but also what you intend to communicate without knowing all the right words. A thorough provider will walk with you through the areas you want cleaned and get clarification on what results you want. If there are rare occasions of misunderstanding what cleaning results you are looking for, professional providers who are members of the IJCSA will listen to any concerns you may have and come to a new understanding on what you need. We will listen to your frustrations, if any have started to form, apologize you are having a negative experience, and thank you for bringing the issues to our attention. IJCSA member providers will seek your satisfaction related to the services we have agreed to provide, and we will make every effort to make you want to call again for service in the future. Janitorial services staff have been kind of looked down on throughout the years as a low pay, low grade job. In reality most people do not know or understand what it is that we do and how we go about keeping our communities safe. We put ourselves in harms way daily to fight the bacteria, germs, and diseases that are trying to take lives. The importance of having people that are willing to take that risk everyday to try and keep you and your family safe is severely understated.

It is not about oh you clean a urinal or a toilet. It is so much more than that when it comes to disinfection, sanitation, and making those items safe for other to use every single day. Most of us choose this not because we are unable to get other jobs but in fact many of us do this for the solace of peace and quite because we have had jobs that many would never, ever want anything to do with from the combat veterans to emergency service personnel who have intimate knowledge of diseases and how they work.

So it is very important to remember that most do this because they want to and it is their contribution to keeping everyone safe from unknown and unseen dangers that are present and evolve every single day.

Everyone in your operation needs to know about bloodborne pathogens.  OSHA defines bloodborne pathogens as, "Infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans."  This generally refers to Hepatitis B and C, HIV, and AIDS, but there are more that can be considered.  These pathogens are a very real and dangerous risk when cleaning.  Staff members need to know about these risks and how to protect themselves.

Universal Precautions is a method of reducing risks.  This method clarifies the need to protect yourself with PPE and assume that every person's blood (and other bodily fluids with traces of blood) potentially carries bloodborne pathogens.  Someone may appear totally healthy but be a carrier.  Protecting yourself and other staff members in your operation by assuming PPE is needed, rather than taking risks with PPE use.

While engineering controls that make things like needle sticks less common in our modern day, it is still possible to encounter sharps.  Even cleaning an apartment or office building, a sharp item with BBP exposure could be in the folds of a couch or down in a cushioned chair.  You never know when something could be encountered, so protecting yourself with PPE at all times when cleaning is the best approach.

When adding a mold cleaning and remediation program to an operation there are several factors to consider.  It is important to have insurance related to mold services, and the program needs to prioritize the health and safety of occupants of the areas under consideration for mold and any employees who are part of the assessment and/or remediation process.

Evaluating whether or not an operation can implement a mold service line, needs to include the ability to keep full PPE on hand for remediation specialists and enough working dehumidifiers and fans to ensure proper drying procedures are followed.  It is also important to ensure both cleaning and remediation specialists can be properly trained to perform their work.

If your operation can provide mold cleaning and restoration services safely and effectively, then this additional service line can bring in a surprising amount of revenue for your business.  Get trained, insured, and equipped and start dipping into this growing revenue stream today!
