Implementing medical cleaning and sanitization practices into residential or commercial cleaning could greatly benefit the world. By taking the risk of spreading bad germs, bacteria and viruses the population would see a decrease of infectious deaths.

By following proper hand sanitization and PPE for people who are sick or coming into contact with people who are sick or contagious the world could avoid outbreaks of disease and viruses. For example H1N1. How was it spread so vastly and quickly? By people who were infected, some even knowing they were, and still going into public. Either because they had no choice or because they didn't know.

Implementing medical cleaning to other areas could greatly reduce diseases being wide spread and possibly even spread at all in the future. Businesses would know the correct way to prevent the infection as well as stop it from spreading. By following the proper protocols they wouldn't have to worry about bringing it home to their family/friends and they wouldn't have to worry about customers either contracting it or bringing it in and spreading it.

Along with understanding the proper protocols of cleaning and sanitization of residential places and commercial areas people being made aware of using PPE and the correct order to put it on could also help to keep residential and commercial businesses from contracting or spreading diseases, viruses and germs.

Cleanliness is essential for every healthcare setting, as it is tasked with protecting the health of millions of people every day. Part of maintaining patients' well-being is protecting them from bacteria that may be present in a facility that provides medical treatment. Regular cleaning is important to most businesses, but it's absolutely essential for any healthcare setting, whether it's a small doctor's office or a large hospital.

A messy or unsanitary healthcare business is unlikely to be a profitable one, patients aren't going to want to return to medical setting that aren't professionally maintained. Healthcare businesses should not only keep the medical side of their offices disinfected, but also thoroughly clean the public areas of their facility. Dirty seat cushions in the waiting room, filled waste cans, or visible dirt or grime on the floors and furnishings suggest that the facility does not take the responsibility of maintaining a safe, healthy environment seriously.

To maintain a professional medical setting, routine cleaning is essential. Whether the business concerned is a busy outpatient facility or a small dental practice, professional environmental cleaning services can help ensure your patients' expectations are being met every day. Environmental cleaning is important for reducing microbial contamination of surfaces and subsequent risk for HAIs. Environmental cleaning is a complex, multifaceted process and involves the physical action of cleaning surfaces to remove organic and inorganic material, followed by application of a disinfectant, as well as monitoring strategies to ensure the appropriateness of these practices.

In this day and age, maintaining a proper cleaning regiment in our health care facilities is crucial to stop the spread of infectious dieses. On a regular day, we potentially come in contact with numerous viruses and bacteria's that could really harm us. We never know when it happens and how it happens. As humans, we carry many different bacteria's, viruses, parasites and microorganisms, some are harmful and some are not. When the harmful ones makes us sick, we head straight to a health care facility to help us feel better.

Since we all depend on the health care system to make us feel better, it is imperative that we equip them with all the knowledge and equipment to stop the spread of the infection, protect themselves from becoming sick and most importantly how to stop the infection. Without the know how or the equipment, not only do the medical staff risk exposing themselves but everyone else as well. With that said, everyone should know how to properly clean the healthcare facilities.

If we do not properly clean the healthcare facilities we risk the spread of any blood pathogens from patient to everyone else. Because we cannot see the bacteria's, viruses and microorganisms with the human eye, we have to make sure we are constantly disinfecting everything in between patients. We cannot take the chance that just because a patient does not seem sick that they are not sick. A simple sneeze can carry thousands of germs that may not have made you sick, but may make the little girl behind you sick.

We depend on our health care facilities to not only make us feel better, but to save our lives and the lives of our loved ones. In order for them to do that, we need to make sure they are equipped with all the PPE's and chemicals to keep their facilities clean and us safe. Below is a link to a janitorial directory to help you find the perfect company to help keep your facilities clean.

Bloodborne Pathogens are an extremely important matter that can be life threatening but can be prevented with the proper education, procedures, and vaccinations. Some of the most known being HIV, HBV, and HCV. These can be transmitted through blood as well as other bodily fluids.

It is not only important to educate ourselves but our team members as well so we can create an environment that is safe. The ways that we can create a safe space are having an exposure control plan, proper PPE, and assuming that any bodily fluid could potentially be infectious.

It is extremely important that as cleaning professionals we take this matter very seriously. I personally know how many people and places that I come in contact with on a day to day basis and how many lives I could potentially effect by not following proper procedures.

It is more critical now more than ever, with the Covid 19 pandemic, that we take preventative measures when cleaning. Cleaning should be top priority, and with that a thorough plan should be set in place. With a strong plan set in place, both the workplace and the employees  are safe.

First, we need to understand that bloodborne pathogens are found in a humans blood, vomit, and sometimes saliva that could be harmful if direct contact is made causing serious diseases. These diseases include HIV, HBV, and Hepatitis. We can expose ourselves to these pathogens thru our nose and mouth, but also thru cuts and scrapes on our skin. To prevent ourselves from becoming ill, it is imperative to follow Oshas Universal Precaution, which recommends that blood and certain body fluids from ALL patients be considered potentially infectious and that infection control precautions be taken to minimize the risk of exposure.

Some precautions required by my cleaning employees are that they wear proper PPE including a facemask and gloves. Anything containing human fluids are to be places in a red hazardous bad and any needles or sharp items be places in a needle container. Proper disinfecting of the area followed by proper disinfecting and/or disposal of the cleaning tools,  PPE and washing our hands. Strictly following these  few guidelines can minimize the risk of exposure and keepong everyone healthy.

It has never been more obvious than now, with the current pandemic situation, that we cannot take for granted cleaning procedures or protocols. We must be vigilant in developing a thorough offensive plan. This plan must include a clear understanding of what a pathogen is and what is required to develop a defensive and strategic plan. This plan should outline clearly, proper practices, handling of areas and transportation of contaminated items.

The first step is understanding that pathogens are presented in human blood and that they can cause serious and deadly diseases in humans. Exposure to these pathogens happen when they come into contact with mucus membranes such as the nose, mouth, or open cuts or breaks in skin.  This exposure can occur from blood, vomit, and saliva. Diseases such as HBV, Hepititus, HIV can be contracted from such exposure. This is why, a Universal Precaution Approach must be seriously adhered to.

OSHA requires that the Universal Approach should be clearly outlined and posted at each work site. It is imperative that it be followed. Should contamination occur Specific documentation must be submitted. This also requires records to be kept for 3 years. If an cleaning employee is exposed, they must know that the first thing they should do is immediately report it to their supervisor and notify their physician.  The employee should be made aware of potential symptoms such as fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and light color stools.  Remember the Best Defense is a Thorough Offense.

Before starting my Green Clean journey, I had no clue how harmful some of the cleaners I used were. I knew there were natural products as I use them more often than others. But I had not gotten in depth on Green Cleaning.

I have learned so much about natural vs chemical. For instance, Furniture polish and degreasers contain Kerosene. It can damage lung tissues and dissolve the fatty tissue that surrounds nerve cells. I had never even heard of that!

Natural products like vinegar or lemon juice can be used to make furniture polish. Vinegar is a multi tool for cleaning! It can be used just about everywhere. Vinegar also can just be used paired with water. It makes an amazing glass cleaner!

Using Green Cleaning products is healthier for you and the environment. Now that I am Green Clean Certified, I can now make your home happier and healthier! Look at all the other Green Cleaning companies we have! https://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services
