  Executive Director of the Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce
  (Part-time) 

  Active and growing Chamber of Commerce seeking an energetic cheerleader for our business community.  This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a dynamic group of people and organizations and make a difference in a beautiful Ozaukee County village.

  Your job as Executive Director would be to provide leadership to the Chamber while being accountable and reporting to the Chamber Board of Directors.

  Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  ·      Manage strategic and operational performance for the Chamber.

  ·      Devise and execute ways to support the Belgium area business community through promotional, educational, networking and grant opportunities.

  ·      Write and send regular communication to Chamber membership & media.

  ·      Represent the Chamber to promote Belgium and Chamber news at village board meeting and through the local partnerships.

  ·      Promote Chamber members and their events as well as Chamber messaging and events through social media posts, shares, and advertising.

  ·      Coordinate, promote and implement the many activities of the Chamber of Commerce through various committees in the pursuit of meeting the Chamber’s goals and objectives.

  ·      Represent the Chamber and its membership in all interactions, requiring Executive presence in order to foster positive relationships.

  ·      Maintain and update Chamber website

  ·      Design graphics and advertising.

  ·      Recruit and retain Chamber business members by consistently providing value to the membership and the business community at large.  

  Position Requirements:

  ·      Positive demeanor and can-do spirit.

  ·      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.

  ·      At least one to three years of experience in a Chamber of Commerce or related position.

  ·      Visionary- ability to strategically think to support Chamber goals.

  ·      Strong communications and public relations skills

  ·      Graphic design skills

  ·      Copywriting skills 

  ·      People person- must be comfortable with networking and public speaking

  ·      Computer Savvy- knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products, social media, graphic design tools and website maintenance

  ·      Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

  ·      Position may require heavy lifting.
