It is of utmost importance for anyone involved in the cleaning industry or any job that may expose you to blood that they are trained and aware of exactly how to handle any situation regarding sharps and blood with diligence. It is required by law that any occupations that handle these situations be certified and trained.

For the safety and well being of employer and employees you must be aware of exactly what to do and how to do it in regards to handling blood and sharps. if you are not aware and trained properly with bloodborne pathogens it can come with serious consequences.

There can be potentially fatal risks if handling these situations unaware and uneducated. If you are currently employed and handling situations like these without any means of training or certifications then I encourage you to immediately contact your employer and request training as your employer must cover cost for this training.

IJCSA is here to help you improve your customer service skills. If you want to improve how your staff approaches upset guest, clients, members this is the course to take,

You will learn that it involves much more than answering questions over the phone. While there's plenty of overlap in the customer service skills required to do a great job, each customer service channel benefits from a unique approach to these skills.

For example, there are important customer service skills associated with phone support, such as empathy, how you communicate, your friendliness in person and over the phone.

There are skills we should approach when servicing customer/clients

Customers want to be heard, understand them, let them vent out their problems, the next one that’s a very common thing to do S.E.C Smiles this can be translated through the phone or face to face when checking in a guest, handing over a cup of coffee Eye contact– show your customers you are listening and care about what they are saying Comment –a friendly comment. people love to be seen or acknowledged. Listen, When customers are upset or frustrated, they might not be able to take in what you say—even if it’s the right answer. Listen first, let them calm down, and then try to help solve their problems. Empathy is a crucial ability in customer service, so make sure you know exactly what you're showing empathy towards. Create a solution to the issue, customers need to feel heard, so tell them that you understand the reason and let them know how you’re going to fix the issue they are approaching you with. Clarify the situation with the client, repeat the information to them with supportive language, make sure they are satisfied to Follow up with all your customer, this one is very important as David Brownie mentioned because this will get your customers to understand you care and give a recommendation, call them, email them do the drip campaign by sending a bulk email to all and offering discount invites, etc…

With everything that's going on now our customer service skills will have to play a big part in how we can keep the customers we have built. Make sure to reach out to all and show your support during these times.

Properly cleaning healthcare facilities is extremely important! First reason always is the safety of the job being serviced. You can be injured, pass a infection and worst could be exposed to a far worst health problem. When cleaning healthcare facilities you are coming in with the mindset of an intensive clean. The purpose of the training is to reduce the number of infectious agents that maybe present on surfaces and minimize the risk of transfer of micro-organisms from one person\object to another, thereby reducing the risk of cross-infection. It is just safe to do the proper cleaning and safety training.

Green cleaning business is better by far than a hazardous business using non eco-friendly cleaning products. Green cleaning uses products that reduce chemicals and are better for humans and animals.Cleaning with your typical household cleaners can be toxic for the home/business as well as it can cause some health issues and are not good for the environment.

Choosing green cleaning products that are both better for the environment and people is the way to go. Switching to green cleaning is good for the health and well being for people and prevents unnecessary chemicals released into the environment.

Weather its glass cleaner toilet cleaner floor cleaner wood cleaner or more if these products can be hazardous to you and environment. Many "non green" cleaning supply's and house hold products can irritate the eyes/throat or cause and other health problems. When mixing the contents of certain cleaners can trigger dangerous chemical reactions.

The most dangerous house hold cleaning products that are "non green" is Ammonia, ammonia fumes are powerful irritant, potentially harming your skin and irritating eyes nose and throat. Bleach another useful but dangerous cleaner has a strong corrosive properties that can do serious to the human body and can flow into our water source.

This is why I believe in choosing a greener method of cleaning will help reduce pollution in our water ways and the air. Green cleaning products keeps families safe from dangerous chemicals. Eco-friendly products improves quality of life in terms of disease and illness. Green cleaning ensures the safety of families and the planet.

Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) are bacteria and viruses present in blood and body fluids that can cause disease in humans. This includes, but not limited to ; Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Workers exposed to these pathogens risk serious illness or death.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires bloodborne pathogen (BBP) training for all employees who have occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material (OPIM). This includes health care workers, first-aid providers and employess who are assigned to cleaning.

BBP training is required at least annually as well as when changes in tasks or procedures affect a worker's occupational exposure. Do your part to keep yourself, your coworkers, staff, and the public safe from bloodborne pathogens.
