TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- WhiteHall Products, a leading provider of single-use solutions including plastics, paper products and janitorial supplies, announced today that the company's development and implementation of customized programs for its customers has resulted in an 20% increase in sales for the company over a one year period.

Joe Justin, CEO of WhiteHall Products says the company's customized client programs have resulted in increased sales, reduced costs and improved margins for its clients, with one client experiencing a 400% increase in sales and a reduction in costs last year.

One example of a customized program WhiteHall Products implemented involved a manufacturer that was having an issue with storage containers. There was a need for two sizes of containers, which required two sizes of lids, and the client was constantly losing or running short or misplacing lids. Whitehall Products provided the solution by developing a line of different sized storage containers that all used the same size lid.

OTTAWA undefined Evidence shows that alcohol-based hand sanitizers are not an adequate substitute for old-fashioned hand-washing, says a new article posted on the website of the Canadian Medical Association Journal.

The article references a study done in the United States, for which results were released earlier this year at a meeting of the American College of Preventive Medicine.

It showed long-term care facilities were more likely to see outbreaks of the norovirus undefined a severe gastrointestinal sickness often causing diarrhea and/or vomiting undefined if their staff more often used hand sanitizers for routine hand-cleaning instead of soap and water.

Women's rights are being disregarded in the contract cleaning sector, and a strike for better wages will continue until demands are met, a union said on Wednesday.

“These people work long hours, use chemicals which could lead to lung problems, have no maternity leave, no provident fund and absolutely no benefits. In this day and age that is unacceptable,” the SA Transport and Allied Workers' Union (Satawu) said.

About 85 percent of Satawu workers in the ongoing strike were women, some of them single parents, national spokeswoman Mamokgethi Molopyane said.

Their wages vary between QR600, the minimum wage legally specified for Nepalis who constitute a substantial number of the cleaning workers, and QR 1,000, including overtime.
Most workers say that they are paid overtime; however it is unclear how this overtime is calculated  as the section in Qatar’s Labour Law that specifies maximum working hours for employees  is not applicable to cleaning workers specifically.
As they are excluded from that particular regulation, many companies  have taken advantage of this loophole, making janitors work almost twice the legal working hours during Ramadan, and two to four hours more during the rest of the year.

The classic treatment is oxalic acid, which is sold at some paint stores for use as a wood bleach. It is often sold in small bags. To use oxalic acid, mix one-half cup of the powder in a gallon of warm water and mop it on the stain. Let it work for five to 10 minute.

Ann Browning, 54, of Miltons Crescent, Ockford Ridge, Godalming, had admitted murdering Bill Williamson but denied the crime was financially motivated.

She was ordered to serve at least 25 years in jail at Guildford Crown Court.

Browning claimed she killed the retired postman in a fit of temper last September.

The defence had argued the pair were close platonic friends and that she killed Mr Williamson in a fit of anger after he changed his mind about living together.

I chose two trouble spots in my house to test the Spotbot out on. The first was in near proximity to my litter box. Despite my best efforts, a cat upset at a unclean litter box would occasionally make her presence known on the carpet. There was not a visible stain, but I knew it was there. This brings us to the options on the Spotbot- there are two main settings to use the circlular brush underneath the device- a standard 3 minute cleaning cycle and a 6 minute deep cleaning version. I almost always chose the longer cycle- Wouldn't you want something to be cleaner with the only penalty waiting an extra 3 minutes? I did. The next option you have is the mixture of the soapy formula

"More than 60% of U.S. households include pets," Bob Kearn, President and CEO of COIT, said. "Our goal is to help homeowners combat the common stains and odors caused by their four-legged companions. With a little help from COIT, humans and pets can live happily together in a clean, comfortable environment that is safer for people with allergies."

To promote their pet-friendly cleaning services, COIT recently invited the company's Facebook fans to describe their pet's dirtiest disaster in 500 words or less, for a chance to win a $500 cleaning coupon. The contest winner described how her pet pig, Reese, and her dog, Riley, tracked mud throughout the house during the rainy season. "Pick me and help me clean up after this pigsty I call home," she wrote.
