    So you NEED a GREEN business….IJCSA can help you do this here: https://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services.  Here are two basic natural recipes that everyone can use.  Window and glass cleaner: Mix 1/2 cup vinegar with one gallon water – spray and wipe.  Green furniture polish: 1/4 cup vinegar with 3/4 cup olive oil OR mix 1/4 cup lemon juice with 1/2 cup olive oil. Wipe down furniture with a soft cloth and the solution.  Baking soda, vinegar and lemon are personally my favorite green products.  I hope this helps you want to go green and gives you some realistic ideas to be more green.

    Green Businesses are very beneficial and use natural resources to maximize business, while also saving money.  The idea that a renewed interest in environmental management results in increased profitability for business has an extreme amount appeal to many businesses around the world.  Managers might redesign a product so that it uses fewer environmentally harmful and more raw materials.  This could result in cuts in direct manufacturing costs and inventory savings.  Most people and companies now want to be GREEN. Some simple things that can be done to run Greener Businesses are: using energy efficiency lighting, low-flow toilets, recycled paper, and green cleaning products.  Other things you can do to be Green are: report odors or water leaks to your building liaison, turn off lights when your office, restrooms, break-rooms and other areas are not in use, turn off computers and monitors, printers, copiers and coffeemakers at night, use desk-side recycling bins, and use building entry mats to remove soil or water from your shoes.

    WaterPro Environmental Services is a chemical and equipment sales company that specializes in disinfection.  We feature a disinfectant that uses a unique stabilization of chlorine dioxide.  This allows disinfection of surfaces extremely fast, as proven by luminometer studies counting total ATP.  The product is called TwinOxide.  It is OMRI approved, it is Kosher and Halal approved for use in protein processing.

    We plan to use our Green Cleaning Training and Certification as a backbone of our platform promoting disinfection of areas with heavily traffic using misting technologies which allow proper disinfection of large buildings in a short period of time.  While disinfection and cleaning are not the same, we are developing curriculum to help companies respond to day to day risks such as the infection potential of many viruses.  In most cases, these pathogens can be eliminated or heavily reduced by using the right chemistry at the right time.  Here is a personal customer of mine, demonstrating the technology they have been using to reduce employee absenteeism at the country school facilities.  https://www.walb.com/2020/03/18/cairo-high-school-uses-new-cleaning-method-during-covid-outbreak/

    TwinOxide is the most powerful disinfection chemical available today, while the EPA has not granted "N" list status, it is an EPA registered disinfectant for killing of coronaviruses.  We can help all industries with this medical grade disinfectant.  Let us know how we can make your cleaning company more green by reaching use at WaterProService.com

    The very first step in implementing a mold cleaning operation is getting knowledge on the subject of mold and understanding what causes it, where it is more likely to grow and how to get rid of it.  So, taking the steps to get your business certified in Mold Remediation is the very first step one should take in your business plan.  Also, learning all the places it can hide is very important.  The next most important step is getting the proper tools and equipment for cleaning and handling mold.  Another crucial step to implementing a mold cleaning operation is marketing properly.  If the different industries out there don’t know you have what it takes to properly handle mold then the entire operation is useless.

    The more knowledge my company has the more profitable it can be.  The ability to hold a Mold Cleaning Certification and display to your customers is a benefit in and of itself; as most buildings or businesses have some form of mold.  The more knowledge we are in anything to do with cleaning will make our business more successful.  Having a mold cleaning program can make your clients feel better about the fact that you can get rid of threat that molds carry and bring and the many health risks .

    What I have learned over the years of carpet cleaning is that there are several methods and equipment used to achieve the end goal of getting the carpet cleaned. All of the methods require a prep of the carpet and we start by vacuuming the area paying close attention to the corners and edges to ensure a thorough cleaning. I have used the bonnet scrubbing method and know it is an effective way to remove stains and below surface grime. I have experience using a carpet extractor with brissel brushes that loosen dirt while the water is passed through and sucked by the vacuum for quick work in smaller office areas. I have also used the steam cleaning method which works well in larger areas after the carpet has been pre- treated with a cleaning solvent. All of these methods have proven to work wonders when cleaning carpets.

    So many cleaning products can irritate the eyes or throat, or cause headaches and other health problems, including cancer and other diseases.  Most products on the market today can release dangerous chemicals, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Other harmful ingredients include ammonia and bleach. Even natural fragrances such as citrus can react to produce dangerous fumes when used indoors or in closed spaces.

    VOCs and other chemicals released when using cleaning supplies contribute to chronic respiratory problems, allergic reactions and headaches. It is not completely sure how many chemicals that are in common every day cleansers or how toxic they are and to what degree.  Cleaning supplies and household products containing VOCs and other toxic substances can include, but are not limited to:

    • Aerosol spray products, including health, beauty and cleaning products;
    • Air fresheners;
    • Chlorine bleach
    • Detergent and dishwashing liquid;
    • Dry cleaning chemicals;
    • Rug and upholstery cleaners;
    • Furniture and floor polish; and
    • Oven cleaners

    Did you know to never mix bleach or any bleach-containing product with any cleaner containing ammonia. The gases created from this combination can lead to chronic breathing problems and even death.  Also, “Natural” fragrances in cleaning products, particularly in air fresheners, may react with high levels of ozone from indoor sources or from outdoor air to form formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen, and dangerous fine particles indoors. Ozone is a harmful, but invisible, gas that worsens asthma and other lung diseases. Particles are also common air pollutants that can worsen asthma and other lung diseases and risk heart attacks and stroke. Both ozone and particles can be life-threatening.

    An ideal way to prevent letting any of these products in your home would be to always read all labels on cleaning supplies and household products before you buy them. Try to always make it a practice to choose products that do not contain or have reduced amounts of VOCs, fragrances, irritants and flammable ingredients. Avoid using air fresheners altogether.  Try these suggestions for Green Air Fresheners: Light a natural candle, burn organic incense, boil orange peels and spices on your stove top, diffuse essential oils, open your windows, buy some air cleaning plants, use cedar blocks sprinkled with lavender in your closets, or make potpourri.

    Manufacturers are not obligated by U.S. law to list all ingredients in consumer products. Products that are labeled "green" do not necessarily mean they are safer. Do a little research on the product from a reliable source. For example, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a list of products that meet its Safer Choice requirements for cleaning and other needs. They include cleaning products for home and vehicles.  Another great source for information as well as cleaning services in your area is ijcsa.org.

    • If you have carpet or area rugs in your home chances are you have dust mites, bacteria and other allergens living in the fibers of that carpet or rug.  The dirt that lives in the carpet or rugs can cause a myriad of health issues including breathing problems such as asthma and allergies, especially in children and the elderly.  These issues have been known to cause sleep apnea, lung complications and much more.

    • When you have your carpet or rug professionally cleaned you are extending the life of the carpet, contributing to a healthier environment, eliminating carpet stains and enhancing the overall appearance of the room.  The carpet professionals that you can find on ijcsa.org are certified, well-informed and have all the proper tools and know how to get the job done.

    With the world being conscious of health and the environment, a great concern has turned towards the products that causes different types of illnesses. Companies are manufacturing product that contribute to some of the sickness that is being caused by using toxic chemicals in clothing, cleaning products, foods, and beauty products.

    Some of the harmful chemicals used in products that is purchased for the home are Phthalates (used in fragrance household products), Perchloroethylene (spot removers, carpet and upholstery cleaners, Triclosan (liquid dishwashing detergents and hand soaps labeled"antibacterial), Amnonia (found in polishing agents for bathroom fixtures, sinks and jewelry, also glass cleaner), Chlorine (scouring powders, toilet bowl cleaners, mildew removers, laundry whiteners), and Sodium Hydroxide (oven cleaners and drain openers).

    Those are just a few of the toxic chemicals that are encountered everyday in the homes and because of the expectancy of the product completing the cleaning results, the toxic chemicals are not taken into consideration of the harm it could do.

    Green Cleaning eliminates a high percentage of the toxic chemical usage that is encountered on a daily bases by promoting products that contains natural ingredients that is environmental and human friendly. The green cleaners eliminate the toxic orders, the injury that could have a negative affect if touch by the skin, and will help to reduce the destruction of the environment.

    I encourage everyone to join the IJCA to learn more about green cleaning and the positive effects it will have on the environment and the entire family. Also, if you are in need of a company that does green cleaning, check out the IJCSA Green Cleaning Directory.

    The importance of cleaning employees & staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens. Being informed on how to protect yourself from bloodborne pathogens is very important because you do not want to get exposed to anything due to lack of protection.

    You also want to make sure you are cleaning the equipment correctly and disposing hazards materials in the places there are suppose to be. Cleaning any fluids with the right stuff and clean and wipe down the area correctly.

    Make sure you report all issues and make sure your manager write it down in the log and keep it for three years.
