Below are four reasons you should consider a certified commercial cleaner

    1) Education- they know what they are doing. The education requirement to become a IJCSA certified residential cleaner is quite a bit for most people.  This education is easier for some than others is focused around chemical safety, heath considerations, proper PPE and knowing when to use certain techniques to give a show room finish.

    2) Chemical Safety Chemical safety is paramount to an IJCSA member's ability to serve the customer.  The key advantage to the IJSCA is the information on green cleaning approaches and the consideration of the environment when cleaning.  Everyone is capable of cleaning, but are they capable of leaving a safer environment when they are done?

    3) Consistent Approach - Attention to Detail Because the training of the IJSCA is so detailed, you are able to know the cleaner has been trained on the little things.  The bottom of the refrigerator is an often overlooked area.  Another is the sliding glass door.  These ares are left in a condition that you know attention was paid, and a checklist was followed thoroughly.

    4) Ability to Solve Problems

IJCSA members have a unique ability to solve problems faced by the day to day activies.  For instance a residential cleaner will have knowledge of carpet cleaning solutions.  In many cases, the cleaner can help you set up an appointment and give you ideas on how to deal with an issue before it escalates into a much bigger issue.

The IJCSA is a group of people committed to making indoor air quality better by using safe chemistries, reducing pathogens and dust.  While improving the overall quality of life for folks by providing a clean environment.  We will strive to ensure you are happy with our service, we will continue to work with our partner companies to improve the service, and if you have any suggestions for improvement we would be glad to hear about how we can improve.

The Janitorial team(s) are vital to everyone's health and safety in a school/office building. They do the jobs that others seemingly take for granted, that is until they are off for the day and the tasks they do routinely are not done.

No one likes to touch surfaces that have unknown substances on them, or worse bodily fluids, with the latest strains of Covid, and other diseases that can be transmitted via contact our janitors have a daunting task to help keep us safe whether it is a restroom, doors/windows, to our cafeterias at work.

As a cleaning service of newer homes and repo homes, each presents with it own challenges and need to be handled differently. You are not sure how people live until you have to clean a home they have left behind, so no judgement and putting your head down and using your tools, you get the job done and make it safe for all.

Why is green cleaning so important? There are many reasons why, but to highlight a few reasons, one to start with right off the bat is the fact that we all share this planet, and naturally we want clean air to breathe and fresh water to drink, if we aren't environmentally conscience, we can all too easily get complacent and before you know it we could find ourselves in a situation where the damage is potentially irreversible.

Another point would be that it costs particularly less than the standard methods of cleaning, even if you don't have access to green seal certified products, you can make your own eco-friendly cleaning products around the house. One example is half a cup of vinegar and a gallon of water, you've got glass cleaner right there.

One other point to consider is the safety and welfare of customers and faculty wherever you're working at. It is far less impactful on everyone to use green products as opposed to standard chemicals. Think about the ingredients they use in some of those chemicals; formaldehyde, caustic soda, muriatic acid, etc. those all, if handled improperly can be very dangerous and can kill someone. Needless to say, that if there is a safer and cheaper alternative for everyone, there's no reason to argue, green cleaning is not only the way to go, but the next step forward for all of us. I will link the IJCSA Green Cleaning Directory to help others find green cleaning services, lets all do this together!   https://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services

Having certification in green cleaning does not just simply benefit your employer, it benefits you as an employee but also as a person. People will know that on top of providing a cleaning service you are committed to protecting the environment, which is absolutely invaluable in today's world.

As an individual who works almost exclusively with cleaning products that are green seal certified, I can personally assure anyone who's skeptical that green seal certified chemicals are not hazardous to the environment and they do a first rate job at keeping our buildings clean and sanitary. At my city, we've long been striving to be as eco-friendly as possible and still provide quality services to the community, and I can say we deliver that certainly, there is always room for improvement and by taking the step to use eco-friendly products we've made just that much more progress.

Think about cleaning products from decades past, and to some extent not all that long ago as well, they did their job by cleaning. However, there was always the risk of damage to the environment, but human health as well. That is something that should always be taken into consideration. Take for example, medicine that's made specifically for children, when your kids are sick you naturally want them to take medication, however you want to be sure that what they take is safe for younger people, as an adult dosage could seriously cause harm.

To sum it all up, we can do what we need to do in many ways, so there's no reason why we shouldn't take the time to get green cleaning certification or look into cleaning services that specialize in green cleaning, it is a naturally mutual benefit to the planet and customers and clients. Whichever path of life we may be on, whichever career we decide to take, all of us can agree that having a clean world is of utmost importance. Now that we have that chance there's no reason not to take it, look no further than the IJCSA Green Cleaning Directory, there's no better place to start your search then right here. https://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services

More and more cleaning businesses are prioritizing buying and using cleaning products that are green seal certified This means that the product is environmentally friendly, but does not take away from the effectiveness of the product's cleaning power.

Finally, and most importantly, I want to stress the fact that we who use green seal certified chemicals and products want to do so to make sure the ecosystem is not harmed during our work, but I can personally assure anyone skeptical about the effectiveness of eco-friendly products that they need not worry. Using a green cleaning service, you are getting a clean building and the environment is not getting impacted negatively, so you are for sure getting the best of both worlds.

The Importance of Educating Cleaning Staff About Bloodborne Pathogens

As a new business owner in the professional cleaning industry, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and clients is a top priority. One critical area often overlooked is the knowledge and training surrounding bloodborne pathogens. These are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause diseases such as Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV), and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). For cleaning staff, who may come into contact with blood or bodily fluids during their duties, understanding the risks and proper protocols is essential not only for their health but also for maintaining a safe work environment.

Providing comprehensive training on bloodborne pathogens equips employees with the tools to handle potentially hazardous situations safely and effectively. This includes recognizing exposure risks, using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, and following proper cleanup and disposal procedures. By educating staff on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and best practices, we not only comply with legal requirements but also foster a culture of responsibility and professionalism within our company. Employees who feel confident in their knowledge and skills are more likely to perform their jobs effectively, reducing the risk of accidental exposure or contamination.

For our clients, hiring a cleaning company that prioritizes safety and hygiene sends a strong message of care and professionalism. When staff are trained to handle bloodborne pathogens, they can manage unexpected situations, like minor injuries or medical emergencies, with competence and care. This not only enhances the reputation of our cleaning business but also builds trust with clients who value health and safety. As a new owner, investing in this training early sets the foundation for a successful, ethical, and safety-conscious company that stands out in the industry.

The indispensable role that janitorial staff play in our everyday lives can often be overlooked, and under appreciated. From safely opening schools and offices each day, to proper maintenance and cleaning of facilities. Janitors politely do it all! Even special tasks, including snow and debris removal from parking lots and walkways. To helping a student or client find a lost object or clean up a spill. It's difficult to overstate how important janitorial staff are to the smooth operation of businesses and universities everywhere.

High quality maintenance and cleaning of cafeterias, restrooms and facilities is a main factor regarding the importance of janitorial staff. Students and staff enjoy clean cafeterias and tables to eat from each day. Also, janitorial staff ensures trash cans are emptied and floors are appropriately mopped and clean. We can often take for granted professionally clean and stocked restrooms as well, but it would be difficult to function without properly clean toilets and ample paper towels and tissue. These small details seem irrelevant, but together they make up the necessary duty that janitors undertake.

Policing facilities and grounds is another critical aspect of a janitorial position that can go unrecognized. Janitors ensure students and personnel safely walk into a secure, adequately lit building each day. Janitorial staff are always the first ones in the building, thoroughly checking grounds and unlocking entrances. Additionally, securing hallways, walkways, and parking lots ensure a safe entry and exit for all staff and students. On a final note, detailed inspection, alarming, and locking up buildings and facilities each night guarantees belongings and property are safe and sound. Janitorial staff truly are an essential component to the operation of schools, businesses, and offices everywhere.
