Healthcare facilities are high risk environments for HAI (Healthcare-Associated Infection).  As many as 1 in 20 patients acquire infections while receiving medical treatment.  Proper cleaning is the first and most effective line of defense against the spread of these infections. 

Healthcare and EVS workers are also at risk of contracting these infections.  A clean and organized environment will give medical workers the confidence they need to focus on patient care. 

If given the correct training, chemicals and equipment EVS workers can have peace of mind knowing they have minimized infection to patients, medical staff and themselves.  This will improve staff moral and job satisfaction leading to increased productivity and reduced turn over.
