Importance of Cleaning workers

Sanitation workers play a vital role in ways we may not always acknowledge or appreciate. From Garbage truck drivers, to Sewer plant workers, all the way to Custodians, they all play a crucial part in making sure we have a clean environment. These are the very people that transport, manage, and clean our everyday waste to ensure a healthy society. Without these important individuals trash would pile in the streets, bodily waste will not be properly disposed and even doorknobs/handles would become more of a breeding ground for bacteria.

Them understanding the importance of safety against Bloodborne Pathogens reduces the risk of spreading to the population. Pathogens such as HIV or HBV can travel by blood, sweat, saliva and touch. Constant precaution against these pathogens only ensures a healthy environment for everyone. Thorough handwashing, proper disposal and PPE are mandatory due to their constant exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

All in all, there would not be a healthy/functioning society without these important individuals. Protecting us from bloodborne pathogens by using proper cleaning chemicals, cleaning utensils & OSHA protocol. Sanitation of these pathogens means a better world for you & I. From cleaning public restrooms to emptying the garbage bins in front of your home, Sanitation workers are the heartbeat to a clean/robust environment.
