IMPORTANCE OF CLEANING / BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS

Cleaning is essential to every individual health mentally and physically. However, there are risk when it comes to cleaning. It's vital that all employees and employers who clean facilities, homes and other properties has completed proper training to reduce the risk of been exposed to many diseases. For instance, the training received here at IJCSA, provide the much needed educational information about bloodborne pathogens, which follows OSHA occupational practices. 

Bloodborne pathogens are bad for your health. Cleaning employees an staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens will help reduce illnesses and cross-contamination. These are individuals who are exposed to blood and other bodily fluids that can become hazardous to their health. They are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in any individual. To name a few of the diseases that derives from bloodborne pathogens are hepatitis B, C, and human immunodeficiency virus, known as HIV. The staff should know how to protect themselves when handling any form of biohazard waste and sharps or any potentially contaminated objects. Also, if exposed, it is vital that everyone know the proper steps to take in getting treatment in time. 

Last but not least, all cleaning personnel, employees and employers who clean. Should always wear the proper personal protective equipment like gloves and goggles. Face mask should be worn when needed as well. This is why it important to know how to clean and what to clean with.
