Importance of Cleaning employees and staff knowing bloodborn pathogens

28 May 2020 6:28 PM | Deleted user

Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. Workers in cleaning business need to know  about  bloodborne  pathogens  because they are at the risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

In order to reduce or eliminate the hazards of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, an employer must implement an exposure control plan for the worksite with details on employee protection measures.

Employers must offer bloodborne pathogen training to employees on their initial assignment and whenever new or modified tasks or procedures could affect a worker's risk of occupational exposure. Those who complete the training must be re-trained annually to renew their bloodborne pathogen certification.
