    LONG BEACH - Housekeepers from area Hyatt hotels protested working conditions Thursday at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, demanding less rigorous cleaning schedules for workers there.

    The protest at the hotel at the south end of Pine Avenue came one week after housekeepers at 12 Hyatt properties in eight cities across the United States, including Long Beach, filed injury complaints with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

    The massive OSHA filing, which organizers said is the first of its kind in the private sector, claims that housekeepers are required to clean as many as 30 rooms a day, which leads to more injuries

    Herrera has been a custodian with the Omaha Public Schools for more than 15 years. He worked at Marrs Magnet Center for several years before moving to Gomez shortly after it opened in August 2004. He knows several of the parents by their first names. He remembers when they were students.

    “He teaches the kids manners and respect,” Campin said. “He teaches them life skills. He speaks to them in both Spanish and English and listens to them.”

    Police are looking for 34-year-old Marvin Palencia in the fatal shooting. Police say Vazquez was shot at 101 Constitution Avenue, a downtown office building, where he worked for a janitorial service.

    According to sources, Palencia, who also worked for the janitorial service, was angry that Vasquez was having an affair with his wife, and had threatened to kill him. They say the wife worked in the building as well.

    On Monday, three students reported tennis shoes, water bottles and clothing missing from their lockers. The SRO viewed school security video for the area where the lockers are located and saw a supervisor on the cleaning crew opening lockers and moving articles to a clear garbage bag.

    In my long-term study of married couples those couples who feel as though they are working together for the management of the house and that the division of tasks is fair are the happiest couples over time. This is especially important for wives and how they see the marriage. In a very telling finding from my marriage study, when wives perceive equity and fairness in tasks around the home, they report being happier and more content in their marriages.

    CLEVELAND, BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- A janitorial supervisor for a Bradley County school now faces charges.

    Police say surveillance cameras caught him stealing at Bradley Central High School.

    Police arrested Paul Mark Weber at the school on Tuesday.

    While reviewing security video fromNnovember 11th, school officials caught Weber taking items from students' lockers and putting them in a bag.

    Investigators say he took clothes, shoes and water bottles, totaling close to $250.

    Weber is charged with theft under five-hundred dollars.
