Importance of staff knowing about Bloodborne Pathogens

       Workers in many occupations including the cleaning industry may be exposed to infectious microorganisms known as Bloodborne Pathogens. These Bloodborne include but are not limited to Hepatitis B (HBV),Hepatitis C (HCV) and Immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Due to the possibility of exposure ,it is of the upmost importance to educate your staff about Bloodborne pathogens.

It is Vital to understand the hazards associated with expose, but it is equally important to follow the work site expose plan put in  place by your employer. This plan will include details on Personal Protective Equipment, work practices,and engineering controls to minimize employee exposure.             Employers are responsible for providing a safe and healthful workplace.

This can only happen with education, continuous training and the staffs willingness to follow universal precautions and properly use the Personal protective equipment provided.
