Bloodborne Pathogens

It is extremely important for employees and staff handling cleaning to be aware of bloodborne pathogen possible infections. A simple action like removing trash can cause a very serious infection. This infection could be so serious that could lead to HIV, HBV, or even death. It is important for members to be aware that way proper precautions can be in order.

Some precautions that can help can be the following; Making sure we always throw away used gloves carefully. Disinfecting when cleaning using correct products, especially when cleaning up blood. Another precaution can be being aware of the labels products contain and looking at safety data sheets before using them. 

It's important to know that a simple cut in our hand can cause the microorganisms to enter the body and cause an infection. The infection can also be caused through the nose or mouth. The key is to always follow universal precautions and when cleaning always consider blood as contaminated to prevent infections. Details like labeling and color coding are super important to prevent other employees from getting contaminated. Health should always be the priority and this isn't something that should be rushed or taken lightly.
