In healthcare you have to be clean and sanitize due to various pathogens that comes in contact within these facilities. Healthcare providers deals with all types of patients and comes in contact with body fluids,blood and feces. Therefore, it's so important in the healthcare setting to keep the environment clean.
In cleaning you want to first put on your protective personal equipment (P.P.E) such as gown,mask,googles,and gloves. Next you want to use the appropriate cleaning for the job that you're about to perform. For example; use disposable disposable paper towels to absorb as much of the bodily fluids. Wipe the area with water and detergent until it is visibly clean. Saturate the area again with sodium hypochlorite 0.5% (10 000 ppm available chlorine). www.ncbi.nim.nih.gov
You must always keep the heatlhcare setting clean/sanitize in an environment that constantly comes in contact with many pathogens,body fluids, and blood. Be sure to get training in PPE, and the types of sanitizer you will use along with reviewing the safety data sheet.
