It's important for cleaning staff and workers to know about bloodborne pathogens for several important reasons:

    Personal safety:

People who clean often have to deal with possibly dangerous things, like blood and other body fluids. Knowing about bloodborne germs keeps them from being exposed to them and getting sick. This is especially important in places where these drugs are present, such as hospitals, crime scenes, and other places.

    Preventing Infections:

Cleaning staff who know about bloodborne germs can take the right steps to stop infections from spreading. This means using the right personal protective equipment (PPE), like gloves, masks, and gowns, and following the right steps for cleaning and getting rid of the waste.

    Legal Compliance:

It is very important to follow the rules, such as the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Employers are responsible for teaching their workers and making sure that their workers understand and follow these rules. If you don't, there could be civil consequences.

    Effective Cleaning:

Cleaning staff who know about bloodborne germs will be better able to do their jobs. They know which cleaning products and methods to use in different scenarios. This makes sure that surfaces are clean and safe to use.

    Response to an emergency:

Employees who know about bloodborne diseases can help more effectively when accidents or injuries happen that involve them. They know how to block off the area, give first aid, and limit the risk of being exposed again.

    Public health:

Cleaning staff are a big part of keeping the public healthy, especially in places like schools, offices, and hospitals where many people use the same area. Their knowledge of bloodborne pathogens helps stop disease attacks and improves the health of the community as a whole.

    Professionalism:

Cleaning workers are more likely to be professional if they know about bloodborne diseases. It gives clients and employers confidence because they know the cleaning staff is trained to handle possibly dangerous situations in a safe and responsible way.

    Well-Being of Employees:

Employees who feel safe and informed at work are more likely to be happy at work and have good morale. This can make it easier to keep employees and make them work harder.

In conclusion, educating cleaning staff and employees about bloodborne pathogens is important not only for safety and compliance, but also for effective cleaning, public health, and the general well-being of employees and the community.

If you think you have mold anywhere...save yourself a lot of time by going to https://www.ijcsa.org/Flood-Damage-Restoration-Services.  It's a one stop shop for all the services you may need.

If you want to waste your valuable time proceed elsewhere.

Do the research and make sure whomever you call is a certified mold cleaning company otherwise you are throwing your money away.

In the meantime try to keep the mold under control. open your window for some free airflow and help get that musty smell out. wash and dry off anything that may be wet.

Remember, you can clean up the mold to make it look good but it it is not properly taken care of it WILL return.

Mold is not only ugly to look at but it can also make you extremally sick. We don't always see the mold and that's a little scary.

A couple things that happen when you have a mold cleaning program is it can save your health and it could save you a lot of money (we all like saving money).

Try to keep a lot of moisture out of you house as that is the bigget thing that leads to mold. You want to prevent it from starting as it spreads fast.  When you get out of the shower dry it as mold loves to hide in the cracks.  Make sure you have the bathroom fan on when you shower too.

Make a plan to check your house out every so often as you may have developed a leak that you don't know about and will likely get more around the area.  You should probably check under your house as well.

Why is it so important that employees and staff know about bloodborne pathogens? We all want to stay out of harms way so when your staff knows they are likely to stay out of bad situations and take extra precautions.  Bloodborne pathogens can be very dangerous to anyone and could even kill you.  You should always wear you PPE to avoid any possible issues.

Always continue to teach your staff and offer as much information on bloodborne pathogens.  We all want to stay safe and avoid being in any harm.

It is a team effort to stop the spread of deseases.

Cleaning employees play a major role in the safety of personnel, especially in an environment where bloodborne pathogens are likely to be. Without their continual effort keeping such areas clean and sanitary, it is more likely that exposure to bloodborne pathogens occur more often. With consistency in training and cleaning of all bloodborne pathogen affected areas, exposures can be reduced.

Bloodborne pathogen training will introduce the safe practices and procedures used to keep employees and patients safe. Knowing what to look for in an area where bloodborne pathogens are likely present will help an employee avoid a situation, such as a needle stick or accidentally grabbing a hidden blood-soaked blanket with bare hands. Such a situation would be extremely undesirable and must be avoided at all costs.

Training will not only introduce an employee to the safe handling of bloodborne pathogens and other hazardous materials. Training will also teach an employee what to do in a situation such as an accidental needle stick. Furthermore, training in bloodborne pathogens will help a company know what procedures need to be taken, who to notify, and how long to keep post incident documentation.
