Most medical cleaning practices can be used in almost any other application. There are designated levels of cleaning and disinfecting that set a MINIMUM standard for different types of facilities and/or properties. Although a residential property may require a lower level of protection against infectious diseases in comparison to a medical facility, execution is just as important.

Most homes may not have much foot traffic or many visitors on a daily basis creating a lower level of risk. However, rental properties such as Air Bnb’s are becoming more and more popular throughout resulting in a much higher amount of people passing in and out of the homes at a much higher capacity regularly. This increases the risk of infection dramatically and increases the demand for a higher level of protection than normal.

Another example would be use of PPE. In a medical setting, the proper PPE is required always, while a residential or retail setting may not have the same requirements.

As good practice, it is recommended that items such as gloves and protective eyewear be worn during ANY cleaning or disinfecting to reduce risk of harm, infection, and/or cross-contamination.

We can all benefit from a work environment that concentrates on the health and safety of its employees and clients. Making sure that your company is properly educated, trained and supported through policies and procedures required or recommended by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) can provide a safe workspace for your employees and offer them the confidence they need to provided quality services to your clients and that establish themselves in their careers.

OSHA requires that all employees in any industry that may come in contact with potentially infectious bloodborne pathogens (whether from blood or other bodily fluids) receive training and access to documentation, support and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as part of their employment. These standards are in place to protect your employees from becoming contaminated and exposed to potentially fatal diseases like HBV or HIV, as well as reduces the risk of spreading infected bloodborne pathogens to our loved ones and communities.

As employers, we should educate our employees of the risks and liabilities working in the spaces in which they are employed as well as their assigned tasks. If they are not properly trained, educated or cautioned, they unknowingly risk their lives in performing a service for our benefit. We must not be so careless or selfish. Cleaning companies should follow OSHA laws and provide the training and support essential to protecting our staff and ensuring a safe working envirnoment.

As we all know, all of the sudden the changes has forced themselves upon us,  we must adjust and make changes in order to stay on top and move on.

The whole meaning of clean has totally changed for good, so for me as janitor doing house cleaning, Coronavirus has forced me to take the concept of cleaning to the next level, so now it's not longer about general cleaning but is also much more disinfection. People want it and are demanding it, and I'm glad to provide a professional service that will help keep everyone safe.

They said with every crisis there comes an opportunity, not that I wanted it this way to happen, but it is here and somebody has to do the cleaning properly, --that's why I'm with IJCSA taking this highly accredited certification

First of all let me just start by saying that I didn't even know that there was procedures and special products for carpet cleaning. I really thought like house cleaning anyone could do it but I was truly wrong.

It truly is important to educate yourself no matter what field you are in, and for me as a cleaning technician, I realize the need for the carpet cleaning certification program an the health benefits from getting your carpet clean on a regular basis.

In the Bahamas there's is a high rate of adults an children suffering for aliments such as asthma, sinus and other allergies . Implementing the carpet program could save a lot of homes from the experience of having to see a doctor every time there is an attack. This is how an why I plan to implement the carpet cleaning program into my business.

This day in age it is more important than ever to have a properly cleaned health facilities. This ensures the safety of the patients and the employees. IJCSA (https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices) has experienced cleaning services to fit your needs.

Making sure your staff is trained in bloodborne pathogens and medical cleaning is one way to make sure infections do not spread through your facility. Understanding what to do in case of contact is also important. Proper disinfecting will limit and control the growth of microorganisms that cause diseases and infections.

1 out of 20 people in the hospital will contract a healthcare associated infection. So it is critical to understand how diseases and infections spread, and how to limit the spread of the infections.

Janitors and janitorial staff often go overlooked in an average persons daily life. The cleanliness of many buildings and properties are usually something people take for granted when going about their day. Unless a person is in the cleaning or janitorial field its completely understandable why this is a common occurrence.

The cleaning of large and small buildings alike are very important to the health and well being of the general population. It is the sole responsibility of janitors and cleaning personnel to uphold these standards to keep others safe. These cleaning jobs often go unnoticed when are routinely performed so well and the cleanliness becomes an expectation without knowing all the work that goes into it.

Like in any other field, there are uneducated cleaners and cleaners that take their job seriously.  Constant and consistent education is necessary for those who make cleaning knowledge a priority. Some of best information can be found at the Janitorial Directory along with the business that pride their selves in this information. These companies are always looking into better cleaning techniques, learning in depth about cleaners and there uses, and figuring out the best way to prevent sickness's and illness's from multiple types of workplaces.

Many people may never fully appreciate all the work and perseverance it takes to be a highly educated cleaner. Even if this is the case, it doesn't change how important cleaners and janitorial workers are the to a keeping a society safe from germs and harmful bacteria that cause life threatening diseases. I am personally very thankful for all those janitors and cleaners that treat their job as a career and take pride in their work. They save more lives than many can fathom.
