As we grow more conscious of the fragility of the environment, we’re recycling, we’re cutting down on plastic products, and we’re thinking more about the chemicals we use for things like cleaning. With such a focus on eco- friendly products, you can make your business more profitable and better for the environment if you become a green certified cleaning company or individual via the IJCSA

Being green certified isn’t as difficult as it may sound. In most cases, you’ll need to implement green cleaning practices and then have a third party evaluate those practices to determine if you are using environmentally sound practices.

Being Green Certified can help expand your customer base substantially because the businesses that you clean are growing more interested in green cleaning practices. It’s better for the health of their employees, as well as the health of the earth.

With so much emphasis on the environment and personal health, going green can also help you to win job bids more easily. Show your credentials when you bid on a job, and businesses will appreciate that you’ve taken the time and effort to create a sustainable, affordable strategy that helps protect people and the world around them.

IJSCA provides world class certification and i believe that being certified through this association will assure a sustainable future for janitorial services. The top reason is that customers you encounter will appreciate a green company. It gives people some comfort to know that the residue from cleaning chemicals isn’t going to be left behind on their job sites. And if you have one happy customer, you’re likely to have more, especially since happy customers are more likely to give referrals that will turn into new business for you.

Green cleaning is uses a combination of products, practices and equipment to clean effectively while protecting both the environment and the health of people in that environment. Of course this is achieved while also achieving and maintaining a satisfactory standard of disinfection and cleanliness.

The benefit of green cleaning is the improved health and safety of both humans and the surrounding environment. Green cleaning can also be more efficient and can offer cost savings as the quantities of chemicals required in the cleaning process are generally reduced. Green chemicals are biodegradable and are provided in recyclable containers. Many come in a highly concentrated for to reduce packaging and the adverse environmental effects of transporting the product from its place of manufacture.

I believe that the 2020 pandemic calls for the usage of green cleaning and green chemicals to be leaders iin this industry.

It is important for cleaning employees to know about bloodborne pathogens, because as a Cleaning Specialist you may be exposure, or in contact viruses such as, but not limited to HBV, Hepatitis B, or Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV.  Understanding this, cleaning employees will follow OSHA's Bloodborne Standard Universal Precautions when cleaning, and disposal infectious material. In addition, a written Exposure Plan would be in place, both staff and employees would know how to safely protect employees and others in the decontaminate area. Employers and employees would know what PPE, and cleaning products is needed to eliminate and reduce exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

As I have studied the information in the study platform IJCSA has provided, i have become aware of loads of harmful chemicals and substances than i was aware of before i started these classes. Furthermore as a Certified Green clean professional I can state that it is better to use green products in the benefit that it wont be harmful to you as regular chemicals or products.

I will be using white vinegar more to clean and baking soda, along with lemon and borax. Corn starch mixed with some borax and baking soda makes a great detergent that is green approved for laundry. By choosing a IJCSA certified Green cleaning specialist, you are saving the environment.
