Conventional cleaning products often contain petrochemicals, solvents, acidic, caustic or corrosive components. After going down the drain, these elements can and do contaminate aquatic ecosystems, including the animals that live there and that can later be consumed by people. They unbalance the entire ecosystem and generate problems that are irreparable. The damage caused affects all life on the planet.

In addition, the contact with the conventional products, or with the residues left by them in the environment, can cause allergies in people with greater sensitivity or respiratory problems, such as rhinitis, sinusitis and bronchitis.

On the other hand, sustainable cleaning products are those that do not harm or minimally impact the environment. They are biodegradable and free from harmful chemicals such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES) and linear alkibezene sulfate.

The use of natural green cleaning cleaning products helps to combat results that negatively impact the health of people and the entire ecosystem of the planet.

Working as an Environmental Service employee in a hospital setting for 5 years, taught me how essential it is to understand the importance of great customer service!  As a supervisor once told me, every guest that comes to visit us in this hospital, comes to visit us with an issue that we must find a solution for!  Some will come calmer than others, given, but it is essential to make the visit as pleasant as possible.  The IJCSA Customer Service Certificate Training Course helped me identify these missing flaws, and helped me better connect with my guests needs, more importantly how to properly handle all situations.  This course provided me with clarity on how to be more of a professional when in dialogue with a guest, as well as, how to identity and how to approach some of the issues presented before you.  The course taught me how to properly care for a guests needs, and the importance using these tools when you first interact, and keep consistent through and after the fact.  Many of these tools helped me become a better employee to provide a better service for our guest.  I now approach every person and guest I know with these steps I’ve learned, and quite frankly, I am a better employee for it.  Just always remember “make your smile contagious, engage in eye contact to let em know they have your undivided attention, and empathize by relating to the issues and commit/solve while providing clarity and satisfaction!  IJCSA provides everything you truly need!

Having a green cleaning program really should be a requirement in the U.S., and probably will be in the future.  It's effectiveness of improving indoor air quality, removing soils, minimizing the impact on the environment has been proven. So much so that it is a requirement to clean government buildings, many schools and some businesses also require cleaning companies to use green chemicals, practices and equipment. By implementing a green cleaning program you can improve the indoor air quality (which can be at least 2-5 times worse than the outdoor air quality.), Improve production, have fewer sick days, headaches, respiratory issues, sore throats, the list goes on and is quite astonishing at what conventional cleaning chemicals can do.

Even cleaning companies using green cleaning programs can see a lot of benefits. Including employees that will be less reluctant to use their chemicals because of fumes or it irritates them in some way. They will also have fewer sick days and in general make their jobs more enjoyable, raising company morale.

Understanding Bloodborne Pathogens is important for all, especially those who may be exposed through occupations such as medical and janitorial. Following protocol and regular training can prevent the spread of infectious disease and even prevent death.

Bloodborne Pathogens training was initially created for hospital staff, however, Janitorial and other staff personnel can be directly affected. Bloodborne Pathogens enter the body through the nasal, mouth or eye canals and can cause serious illness and injury to the human body.

If one should become exposed to a Bloodborne Pathogen, it is important to follow the protocol set forth by the employer. Immediate knowledge of exposure and action ensures that both cleaning staff member and employer remain safe and healthy.

Some companies/individuals do not realize just how important good customer service is to improve their businesses. For my own business, my customer service depends on customer satisfaction. It is very important for me that all of my customers are happy with the services provided. I always take into account any feedback given from customers so I can improve my quality of work.

I am a small business owner and I do not have any employees. Therefore, I am the only one who enters the client's facility. When I first began my business, I only did residential cleaning. I have been cleaning homes for the past 30 years. I now no longer do residential. I clean an outpatient surgical facility and an orthopedic surgeons office.

Customer service is of utmost importance for all the members of IJCSA. Training is extensive and ensures that owners, operators, and employees all know how to put customers and clients first. Great customer service is a priority in every interaction, and is felt even in non customer-facing departments.

Great customer service includes listening, apologizing, finding solutions, and thanking customers for the patience and business. Listening and empathizing is sometimes all that a customer needs, but going above and beyond to ensure customers are satisified is what IJCSA customer service is all about.

There are many situations where cleaning crews may encounter substances continue blood-borne pathogens. These pathogens can cause diseases in humans, and some of these diseases can be fatal. Knowing the risks and proper handling procedures are ways to reduce the spread of infectious diseases while performing cleaning duties.

The OSHA standards were initially created for the healthcare field but were expanded to include any occupation which could reasonably be exposed to infectious materials. Cleaning employees and staff could easily be exposed working in an area where someone had thrown up or could come in contact with bodily fluids, doing laundry, or simply dealing with trash.

Following universal precautions can lessen the risk for the spread of potentially harmful or even fatal diseases. A simple break from a syringe or other infected material or entry via an open wound makes individuals susceptible. Cleaning staff is not only responsible for themselves but also limiting the exposure and spreading of disease to anyone else who would be using the facilities which need to be cleaned properly.
