The first step to any business is to receive the training required to succeed in that business.  Luckily for me I have been selling cleaning products for six years now.  So the great part about that is that I have a slight head start because I have learned what works and what does not.   Using my sales experience from working for one of the largest chemicals companies on the globe I am going to implement these skills and build relationships with potential customers and build clients out of all of them.

I have all of my equipment purchased and all of my registration complete with the state.  The most important thing that i need to do now is get certified.  People use or buy services from someone that they know or trust.  That is what brought me here.  With certifications from IJCSA i can list being CCC certified and attract clients, not just customers.   Being certified will build trust.   Using the equipment that i purchased and the training and certifications i received i'm going to spend some time practicing removing stains on scrap carpet, cleaning my own homes carpet and tile and get use to the equipment, types of carpet cleaning, and chemicals used during both or all processes.  Once comfortable its time to knock on some doors!!

"Bloodborne pathogens are disease-causing microorganisms that can be transmitted through blood or bodily fluids."  These pathogens must be treated with care as they have the potential to be fatally harmful.

All staff need to not only learn and understand the importance of safely handling body fluids, but must use the learned practice EVERY day.  Staff must have a good and consistent training to avoid the risk of  " bloodborne pathogens exposure, this is why workers who are exposed to blood and any body fluids must take all the universal precautions and follow the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standard, created in 1991, which is composed of a written plan, entitled the exposure control plan, training requirements and record keeping guidelines ."

This is the best way to help keep our employees safe is to ensure they are properly trained, prepared and equipped to handle their day to day jobs with exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Education and proper training are crucial to keeping myself and my staff safe and healthy. This is my top priority when it comes to running my business. We can't be the best if we aren't being safe, and we can't protect our clients if we don't protect ourselves

Bloodborne Pathogens are far too common and far too easy to spread, if you don't understand the proper techniques for handling and disinfection. If you stumble across contamination, it may be too late to protect yourself. It needs to be something you assume is there, every time.

We are all at risk to bloodborne pathogens in all work places, some not as much as other but it is very crucial that we all know and understand what our part to help prevent the spread and to keep ourselves safe while in the work place. It is important to note that people who are infected with bloodborne pathogens may not show any signs or symptoms, so it is essential that ALL persons in the workplace be considered infectious. This means that any and all precautions must be taken to avoid contact with others.

We must always use the proper PPE when dealing with bloodborne pathogens or anything that may be possibly infected , to prevent ourselves from being infected as well. Always wash hands thoroughly after taking gloves off and disposing of them and all disposable PPE. It is our job in the work place to make sure each other is safe from bloodborne pathogens.

Well this is a huge part of customer service whether you are upper management for your company or , if you are part of the cleaning crew that leads and is the face of the company on a daily basis, it is your job to reassure each and every customer that we are meeting each one of their cleaning requests in a timely manor along with the highest quality of work.

Our members at IJCSA all perform at a very high level with quality of work , time management skills , and communication with each and every customer they come in contact with.

It is essential that all employees and staff not only know about bloodborne pathogens but also get the proper training on how to eliminate exposure when in the janitorial/cleaning business. If you don’t know what bloodborne pathogens are then you can’t possibly clean contaminated things (i.e. items, bedding etc.) properly. By not cleaning properly or handling the care of items properly you cause several severe risk for not only yourself but other employees and/or clients. You also need to understand how to handle the transportation of contaminated waste.

Bloodborne pathogens are pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause disease in humans. For example, diseases like HBV, HIV & AIDS but not limited to such. It is easy to be exposed to to bloodborne pathogens if you aren’t extremely careful. Pathogens can come in contact with  your mucus membranes by your mouth, nose, human bites, cuts and abrasions.

To prevent exposure while cleaning it is best you wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as eye wear, mask, gloves and more depending on other factors. OSHA recommends that you follow universal precautions to protect yourself. Which basically is assuming that blood and certain bodily fluids from ALL patients be considered potentially infectious and that infection control precautions be taken to minimize the risk of exposure.

When assisting with the transportation of waste/contaminated waste it should be color-coded or labeled in a sufficient way to let all employees know that compliance with universal precautions is required. It gives a heads up to others to be aware if its contaminated or not.

Cars Recon is a company that details cars to be sold at an auto auction. I am an employee at Cars, and I am getting certified to handle cars marked as biohazard. These cars may contain animal/insect infestations, blood and/or other bodily fluids, or mold. These cars are an important project for the company and shows our abilities to refurbish these used vehicles.

Mold control vehicles make up a large amount of biohazard jobs. It would be very beneficial to have another set of hands taking care of the duties. Currently there is only one person taking care of these cars. With me getting certified to work on them, we would be able to handle more work and work more efficiently to take care of hazardous vehicles.
