OSHA standards for bloodborne pathogens and personal protective equipment require employers to protect workers from occupational exposure to infectious agents. The Bloodborne Pathogen standard applies when workers have accidental occupational exposure to human blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Employers and workers should be familiar with several key approaches to infection control, including universal precautions and standard precautions.

Universal precautions, originally recommended by the CDC in the 1980s, was introduced as an approach to infection control to protect workers from HIV, HBV, and other bloodborne pathogens in human blood and certain other body fluids, regardless of a patients’ infection status. Universal Precautions is an approach to infection control in which all human blood and certain human body fluids are treated as if they are known to be infectious.

Standard Precautions, introduced in 1996 in the CDC/Healthcare Infection Control. SP includes hand hygiene; the use of certain types of PPE based on anticipated exposure; safe injection practices; and safe management of contaminated equipment and other items in the patient environment. SP is applied to all clients and patients even when they are not known or suspected to be infectious.

Keeping yourself, employees and customers safe is critical to having a healthy working environment.

There are a lot of benefits in having a mold cleaning program for your business. Failure to remove mold from a house or business can result in severe illness or death. The first reason is that proper mold methods can prevent future problems such as avoiding to pay a repairman to come back to your house or business and fix something again because it was infested with mold. The second reason is that you won't have to worry about suffering respiratory illness or asthma or allergies.

The third reason is that the removal of mold helps prevent sinus congestion, chest tightness, wheezing, throat irritation, sneezing, and coughing. The fourth reason is that when you remove mold, you are eliminating it's ability to grow quickly and spread throughout your company. The fifth and final reason is that mold contains spores that fill the air with bacteria. Proper procedures will help eliminate the spores so that you don't inhale them. Learning how to remove mold improves your value as a cleaning business and can make you a trustworthy and reliable company.

Just like many aspects of business, there's a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things.  Cleaning is no different.  It may seem easy to keep a space clean, but there's a lot more to it than it appears.  For example it can be difficult and time consuming to easily clean every part of your space.  When you hire a Professional Green Cleaning Company, they can get it done much quicker and more efficiently.

Whether your a home owner or business owner, your ultimately faced with the dilemma of who gets faced with the job of cleaning.  You can make your staff do it, you can do it yourself, or hire a PROFFESSIONAL GREEN CLEANING COMPANY to do the services for you.  The choice is ultimately up to you.  However, we think going with a PROFFESSIONAL GREEN CLEANING SERVICE is the smartest choice for many reasons.

As a business owner you want to keep your staff more comfortable.  It has been shown through studies that delegating cleaning duties to staff can lower company moral.  The reason is because your employees want to spend their time working for you doing what they were hired to do, and that likely is not cleaning.  By hiring a PROFESSIONAL GREEN CLEANING COMPANY you can keep your staff more comfortable by reducing germs and allergens within the work place because allergies and sickness reduce productivity.  The benefit of getting a PROFFESSINAL GREEN CLEANING COMPANY for your cleaning needs is that no harsh chemicals are used that in turn may cause a bad reaction in you, one of your employees or customers.

When considering hiring a PROFESSIONAL GREEN CLEANING COMPANY consider hiring a IJCSA MEMBER in your area, they know exactly what needs to be done to keep you business safe and in top clean condition.  IJCSA MEMBERS know not to use harsh dangerous chemicals that can be unsafe to you, your staff and customers.  They only use GREEN CLEANING PRODUCTS and know how much to use to keep it safe for everyone.  Studies also show that people work better under clean safe conditions, so by hiring a IJCSA MEMBER GREEN CLEANING COMPANY your employees can focus on the progression of your business rather than having to worry about the task of cleaning.

A Green Cleaning Program benefits the health of our employees, our clients, and the environment.  Our goal as a green cleaning company is to help our clients implement a green cleaning program as well.  Green Cleaning services go beyond just using environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals.  Its also about reducing waste and cleaning more efficiently.

When our clients implement a Green Cleaning Program they benefit in several ways.  By implementing the program they reduce exposure to toxic and dangerous chemicals.  It will also help in reduction of asthma attacks by effectively keeping dust and chemical allergens at bay.  This will also help improve the overall indoor air quality by reducing airborne dust and chemical gases.  Green Cleaning also controls the spread of germs and disease by focusing on problem areas and properly applying disinfectant.

We can help the environment by having a Green Cleaning Program.  By learning the proper storage of environmentally friendly chemicals will help in preventing chemical runoffs through proper cleaning techniques.  By using non-toxic biodegradable chemicals and recyclable products we are protecting the environment.  We all benefit by having a Green Cleaning Program because we will have health, safety, and environment always in our minds.

Properly cleaning healthcare services are important because if they are not cleaned with the right EPA accepted chemicals then there is a risk of cross contamination (the process by which bacteria or other organisms are unintentionally transferred from one object to another, with harmful effect.

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requires a clean and sanitary environment that inhibits interaction with blood or OPIM (other potentially infectious materials), according to the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. If the cleaning staff does not change PPE (personal protection equipment) after cleaning each individual room or bathroom then they have the potential to spread the microorganisms through out the hospital. The cleaning crews job is to keep the environment clean and safe for the patient, staff and visitors of the hospital. It is very important to clean high touch surfaces light switches, phones, door knobs, TV remotes etc. Germs are every where and it is the cleaning crews job to protect everyone from a potential exposure.

Even the littlest thing in the room can pose and extreme risk to the pt. When cleaning healthcare facilities have many different types of microorganisms and viruses present in them, it is important to make sure that they are cleaned properly and that the cleaning crew wears all PPE in order to protect themselves from exposure and to keep their families safe and the hospital safe as well.
