One of the main benefits of having a green cleaning program is it minimizes human health risk by reducing human exposure to harmful chemicals. Traditional cleaning products contain toxins that decrease air quality indoors. These toxins can cause issues such as eye, respiratory and skin burns or irritations, allergies, headaches, nausea, and even reproductive hazards. Only using green cleaning products reduce risk to both employee and client health from chemicals while working.

There are also several environmental benefits from implementing a green cleaning program. Most of the packaging is made from biodegradable and recyclable materials. This cuts back on the use of raw materials which helps save resources, and also means less waste. Green cleaning products also reduce the VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) that are put in to the environment.

It is important for employees to know how to properly handle bloodborne pathogens. Understanding the risk in dealing with any bodily fluid is the first step in keeping safe.

Ensuring the proper offense is being taken when dealing with any potential bloodborne pathogen is key in helping prevent exposures. Making sure to utilize appropriate gloves and disinfectants is also another part in keeping safe. Taking time to remove soiled blankets or clothing. Properly disposing of any exposed item or items in the proper waste containers or bags.

Lastly the employee should continue their education with all of the current OSHA standards of operation. The employee should have a good understanding of what to do when an exposure happens and how to mitigate any further risk to their health and safety.

Paramount to cleaning touch surfaces; knowledge and training about bloodborne pathogens (BBP) and protecting yourself and staff members when coming into contact must be universal and transparent. This article will explain the  importance of bloodborne pathogen training and how it effects the quality, health, and safety of those exposed in a cleaning setting.

Several setting will potentially put a cleaning technician in direct contact with bloodborne pathogens such as, blood, vomit, urine, saliva, etc.   Most notably, hospitals and healthcare settings will have some of the greatest chances for this to occur. Other settings where exposure to BBP can occur are: schools, residential/commercial/restoration cleaning crews , garbage collectors, to name a few. In order to ensure safety and quality, every staff member and or employee who may come into contact with BBP's must be trained in identifying and properly disposing of and or cleaning materials contaminated with BBP.

Consequently, wearing proper personal protector equipment (PPE) while cleaning or sanitizing is the best way to prevent accidental exposure to these bio-hazards.  As each employee is trained in what BBP's are they must also be educated in best practices for cleaning and sanitizing. Equally important are PPE used to reduce exposure, such as: goggles, splash guard/face shields, respirators, gloves--chemical resistant, aprons or suits, and most importantly taking care to avoid needle sticks or punctures, and reporting any accidents to their appropriate supervisor.

As a final step, thorough hand washing, avoiding facial touching, and wearing masks will ensure protection against illnesses and exposure to potentially life threatening toxins.  Following these practices will ensure transparency across quality, health, safety of each cleaning staff member, and utilizing best industry cleaning practices.

It is very important for our staff to know about bloodborne pathogens. The staff are on the frontline of interacting with potential dangerous and terminal diseases. They have to know what they are encountering and how to deal with those situations. They need to have the support of our company to teach them. It is our responsibility and the law to do this.

There are potential dangerous and deadly diseases that can come from bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids. The most well known ones are HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis. These can severely impact the lives of people who get these illnesses. It is vital that we protect our employees by giving them the proper training and instruction on bloodborne pathogens. Their lives are at stake if we dont properly train them.

Many times there is alot more to know about bloodborne pathogens than the general public knows. There are many myths that can be dangerous if the staff dont have the proper instruction. Furthermore if we neglect our duty to protect our employees we may be financially liable. We could lose our business and livelihood over not properly training our employees regarding bloodborne pathogens. They need to know about this because one failed misstep can change their entire future and ours too.

Customer satisfaction is key to the sustainability, survival and growth of any company.

It is imperative that we listen to you the customer. By listening closely we'll be able to determine what it is you want us to do to resolve any problem. We prefer to take a team approach to any complaints.

A complaint comes in many forms and from many different sources; be it a trash can that wasn't emptied to soap dispensers that weren't filled to poor behavior by employees. Therefore, our first plan of attack is to ensure we understand the precise nature of the complaint. If need be, we will visit the job site to see why you are unhappy and take care of the problem immediately.

If we happen to solve the problem before figuring out the root cause of the problem, we will go back and figure out the cause. Once we know the cause we will decide on a preventative course of action so the problem does not happen again.

IJCSA members all strive to provide superior customer service and they can be found in this directory IJCSA Business Directory
