While professional cleaning can be very gratifying and make a home or business look welcoming and presentable, it can come with risks. Bloodborne pathogens can be present in almost any cleaning situation so employees and staff need to know the proper way to dispose of and clean contaminated items without causing exposure or harm to themselves.

Employees and staff need to know that without the proper precautions the most efficient cleaning person can still be contaminated, or injured. Knowing about the risks and procedures of cleaning bloodborne pathogens can reduce instances of illness and injury to employees and staff. Proper care when disposing of contaminated items such as using labeled bags, wearing gloves or eyewear, hand washing, and placing items in the proper place are just a few essential ways to effectively cleaning surfaces and leaving them contaminate free.

Providing cleaning services is more than making a space look comfortable and tidy it is also to help promote safer, germ free environments for people to live or work in. Educating and developing a plan for employees and staff regarding blood borne pathogens makes sure that in instances of illness or injury the issue can be contaminated and cleaned properly to reduce spreading from either employee to employee or to home to their families and loved ones.

I plan on implementing a carpet cleaning program through my business by making it a part of my basic commercial business package. On a semi-annual basis, commercial contracts will receive carpet treatment and cleaning service as a basic part of my companys service.

I believe that commercial cleaning should be a package deal and that my sites should not have to look to outside service providers for services that my company "doesn't take care of" but that cleaning companys should be a package deal.

Finding a certified carpet specialist is easy through the IJCSA service provider list: https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices

As the owner and operator of a commercial cleaning company, it is fundamentally important to understand the proper procedures for dealing with bloodborne pathogens. It is equally important that all employees have been properly trained and are knowledgeable of the risks posed by exposure to these pathogens.

To minimalize these risks, cleaning professionals should always wear proper personal protective equipment and treat all waste as if it contains contaminated material. All exposed equipment should be thoroughly disinfected after use and PPE properly disposed.

Companies should have a written exposure control plan in place and maintain records of employee exposure for at least three years. Employees should know and understand the plan.

Safety should always be employee's first thought when working in potentially hazardous situations. Safety first and always.

In 1918, the Spanish Flu pandemic killed tens of millions of people world wide. At least 50 million people died because of that H1N1 influenza. The dead were buried in mass graves after being collected on horse drawn carriages. Current understanding is that only a vaccine will put an end to this pandemic. How will Covid-19 pandemic end?

How will we get there? We made it through the 1918-1919 pandemic. Coordination between different levels and branches of the government, improved communications regarding spread of influenza, helped stop the spread. New guidelines for infection control, containment measures, including case isolation and closures of public places were developed and practiced. They focused on community containment and infection control measures.

With the War ending, and soldiers coming back home, was that, how it spread in 1918? Vector's can survive on surfaces for days. Planes traveling around the world, to bring us a welcome home present, that we were not prepared for. Vancouver, Washington was one of the first city's to implement social distancing and donning of mask in 1918. They were able to keep the population from decaying and curved the spread.

In conclusion, It was the ideas of cleaning and social distancing that saved us in the 1918-1919 pandemic. The understanding of the science involved for curving the spread of germs has been fought hard by mankind and we alone deserve the right to overcome the pandemic we face today known as Covid-19. Only through vigilance and standards of practice will we overcome germs and viruses. Everyone just need's to wear your mask, wash your hands and practice social distancing. We can get through this together, We will, get through this together. its hard to imagine the challenges & dangers that constantly present in every medical facility. For those who visit & are treated by any health care professional & occupational employees working behind he scenes have no idea of the dangers which the occupational staff & employees face on every shift. Such as blood-borne pathogens, are pathogens (able to cause disease) microorganisms that are present in human blood & can cause diseases in humans. These pathogens include , but not limited to Hepatitis (liver tissue) B virus (HVP) & human immunodeficiency virus (associated with Aids). The dangers of these blood-borne pathogens present themselves when exposure occurs when the pathogens comes in contact with the employees mucus membrane such as the nose or throat or breaks in the skin like needle sticks or human bites or cuts & abrasions. Not to mention body fluid such as blood vomit & even saliva can contain blood -borne pathogens.

Hepatitis B or HBV is a type of liver disease that inflames the liver & leads to liver damage & sometimes even liver cancer. some of the symptoms  of HBV are fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, jaundice, vomiting, diarrhea, light colored stool, dark urine.

With exposure to HIV it has the potential of developing AIDS or acquire immune deficiency syndrome. The symptoms that can e related are constant fatigue, sore throat, persistent fever, persistent rash of unknown origin, night sweats, persistent swollen glands, mild to severe flu like symptoms.

These dangers are very real & scary, so the next time you are at the doctors office the hospital or medical care facility try to remember what you read here & be thankful for those who provide you with the care you require & don't forget those who are hard at work behind the scenes to guarantee that your visit is all it is suppose to be. it takes a certain kind of individual to sacrifice their well being & safety for another in need. Thank you for all that you do & be safe..

Finding a mold remediation company is a process that is fairly easy. First, you must vet companies to find out if they are able to take care of your mold problem. You do this by asking a series of questions. They should also be asking you questions about the situation to ensure that they have a good idea what they are getting into. After finding a company that you think is a good fit the inspection must happen. After the inspection, an air quality test must occur before and after remediation. In order to measure the effectiveness of the clean up. Then, a scope of work which gives a detailed outline of the steps that will be taken by the remediation company must be given to the customer. This ensures that both parties know what the intended result is. If a company can perform each of these tasks for you then it is safe to assume that they will perform a sufficient clean up with good customer service.
