In my cleaning business I plan to target the schools. Schools can be one of the dirtiest places around. The fact that schools house so many students proves that they are succeptable to the germs around them. Once one student is affected then it spreads around the whole school and you have an outbreak.  Implementing carpet cleaning in my business is very important because there are many uses for it in our schools.

Many teachers in the teachers lounge drink coffee and there is bound to be coffee stains on the carpet.  The materials used at schools involve inks and paints. I am able to clean these out of the carpet. In many highschools discarding gum has become a major problem. If it doesn't end up under the desk it will end up on the carpet which is why my services are needed. Lastly one of the most important rooms to clean in a school is the special ed room. With students who are unable to take care of themselves there is a liklehood that stains such as blood, poop, and urine will get on the carpet. This can be cleaned by my carpet company as well.

It's 2019, and with every passing year the general public is becoming more conscious of how chemicals have negative actions on our environment.

In the Washington DC metro area, green certification among commercial cleaners is highly sought after, as the general population are among the most highly educated in the country.

No matter where your business is established or frequently doing business, or who your clients are, cleaning companies are constrained to do their part in the sustainability of the earth.

If ethics is not enough to persuade a company to have a green cleaning program, the clients that you won't obtain due to lacking a green program should be enough.

During the cleaning process, cleaning workers are exposed to the contaminated areas and under the threat of bloodborne pathogens. If the employees and staff have no idea about bloodborne pathogens, they might push down the garbage with bare hands, or do not care to be aware of needlesticks and other sharps-related injuries that may happen, or dispose contaminated sharps the wrong way… These are the beginning of a disaster.

It is employers’ responsible for providing safe and healthful workplaces for the employees and staff. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard requires that employer must implement an exposure control plan for the worksite to protect their employee and staff against exposure to bloodborne pathogens, such as hepatitis B virus and human immunodeficiency virus.

By knowing bloodborne pathogens, injuries and bloodborne infections can be avoided. Cleaning employees and staff know how to use appropriate personal protective equipment before they are exposed to any potentially infectious materials. They know how to use safer medical devices. They know how to protect themselves and others better.

All in all, do not ignore bloodborne pathogens because you cannot see the risk to your life hiding right in front of you.

We all know being Green Clean certified benefits our companies and ourselves as individuals. It helps my company standout to consumers, preserves the environment, protects the public and my employees. These are important for production and the life for us as a community.

Green Cleaning helps to standout to consumers because not many companies offer this service and by doing so it shows that as a company, we care. It also shows that we are serious and disciplined because we took the time to get Green Clean Certified. By being Green Clean certified Superb Cleaning is able to teach consumers things they do not know, which will display our knowledge that we have and the extensive studying we did.

Having this knowledge and certification also allows us to preserve the environment. Since we have knowledge of VOCs and carcinogens we are able to use Green/natural cleaning products that will protect the environment. By protecting the environment, my company will be acknowledged by the community and we will build a good reputation. Earning the respect and acknowledgment of the community is important for word-of-mouth advertisement.

By protecting the public, we will gain more recognition and then by protecting my employees, they will get sick less. Of course the recognition just calls for more good word-of-mouth advertisement. By my employees getting sick less; that means less sick days, better morale and attitude, and high quality production. My employees will not have to be afraid that the products they are using are harmful to them or going to get them sick. Companies such as: http://www.ecoprocleaningsolutions.com/

There are plenty of harmful effects from using regular cleaning chemicals. These chemicals release terrible substances in the environment that are harmful to humans, plants, animals, etc. These chemical pollute the air and any surrounding water as well. The harmful substances released into the environment are called Volatile Organic Compound (VOC).

Most products that create vapor or have a scent to them contain these VOCs. These substances induce asthma, eye irritation, skin irritation, reactions, etc. VOCs are actually even regulated by law because of all the harmful effects on humans and indoor air quality.

Additionally, a lot of cleaning chemicals have carcinogens in them. Carcinogens are substances capable of causing cancer in living tissue. So to stay away from VOCs and carcinogens, Green Cleaning has been invented and utilized by many different cleaning companies. After learning that cleaning chemicals have the potential to cause respiratory and dermatological problems, and even cancer, I have decided to start my business with environment friendly products. I prefer to keep myself, future employees and building occupants away from the effects of harsh chemicals. This in turn may reduce the number of employee sick days.

When stocking up on cleaning products, I will either mix my own, or purchase products that are certified “green”. All products need to be diluted correctly and in the long run may even be cheaper than harsh chemical cleaners.

I will be purchasing high performance equipment, such as HEPA filter vacuums that improve air quality, and using microfiber cloths, mops and dusters known for their ability to trap soil and not redepositing it. I worked as an employee in the cleaning industry 20 years ago, and I am excited about the new products, equipment, and the way cleaning is being accomplished now!

Knowing about the risks of bloodborne pathogens is critical in the cleaning industry. Bloodborne pathogens can be easily spread if protective procedures are not followed properly.

Blood, vomit, saliva and other bodily fluids may be infected with bloodborne pathogens that can cause HIV and Hepatitis B and it is for this reason that specific guidelines must be followed in cleaning and removal. Splashing with a mop can spread the pathogens about the area and enter the mucus membrane through the nose, mouth, eyes or skin.

Needle bins, trash receptacles and hazardous waste must be handled with care in order to prevent injury and exposure as well. International guidelines, if followed, may prevent or reduce infectious waste exposure. Wearing disposable gloves and eye protection play a strong role in prevention.

It's no secret that conventional cleaning products such as Mr.Clean, Lysol, and Formula 409 multi-purpose cleaners, among others, pack a chemical punch.

Products like these contain ammonia, bleach, chlorine, and other toxics known to wreck havoc on human health and the environment as they release high levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) known to pollute the airways in your home or commercial facility.

But is there a safer alternative to these products? Can we still get the job done without compromising so much? Sure we can!

Green cleaners clean just as good-if not better-and you can make them yourself! Yes, you heard right! Mixing lemon and vinegar, for example, make for a great multi-purpose cleaner that can easily clean a sticky mess, leaving a fresh odor behind.

Another option is to use plant-based cleaners from eco-friendly brands like Method, Mrs. Meyer's, and Better Life.

Either way, natural is the way to go! Help yourself by finding a green cleaning service provider in IJCSA's Green Cleaning Directory:
