Harmful chemicals are prevalent not only in general consumer cleaning products but also in foods, cosmetics, home construction, clothing and many industries. In the average American home, around 63 synthetic chemical products can be found. This equates to approximately 10 gallons of hazardous chemicals.[4] By using more ecologically-friendly products, including green cleaning formulations and products, consumers may be able to reduce human health risks by reducing exposure to these and other harmful chemicals.

Once these hazardous chemicals are present in the environment people can become exposed to them. Chemicals can move through air, soil, and water. They can also be on plants or animals, and can get into the air we breathe, the food we eat and the water we drink..

Nearly every human activity leaves behind some kind of waste in the environment.

Households create ordinary garbage. Cars, trucks, and buses emit exhaust gases while in oeperation.

We as a society must learn and implement Green practices to better sustain our health. We can no longer sit back and allow it to happen.

At EDA we take pride in choosing the right protocol in the services we offer and implement Green products and services to leave no footprint on our environment. By using green products like hydrogen peroxide we feel we have better served our clients and know we are helping our environment heal.

Green cleaning is a term that describes a growing trend in favor of using cleaning methods with environmentally-friendly ingredients and chemicals to preserve human health and environmental quality.[1] Green cleaning techniques and products avoid the use of chemically-reactive and toxic cleaning products which contain various toxic chemicals, some of which emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) causing respiratory and dermatological problems among other adverse effects.[citation needed] Green cleaning can also describe the way residential and industrial cleaning products are manufactured, packaged and distributed. If the manufacturing process is environmentally-friendly and the products are biodegradable, then the term "green" or "eco-friendly" may apply.

People are aware that toxic chemicals are destroying the environment and are seeking companies that offer these alternatives. We at EDA are dedicated to using green products and want to do our part in making the environment a better place to live.

Green cleaning, in a commercial/industrial setting, can mean a holistic approach to facility cleaning and maintenance that can provide health benefits, improved productivity, reduced liability, cost savings and improved community relations.
Recent advancements in chemical technology have made it possible to develop cleaning products that are as effective as traditional products, but that do not contain harsh ingredients.

As a certified green cleaning company we at EDA take your concerns seriously and implement green technology into every service we offer. We give a 100% guarantee that our products are safe and green. That our clients are safer for using our products and services.

There are many dangers of getting affected by coming into contact, with someone else's blood and/or body fluids. Getting and knowing the proper knowledge of Bloodborne pathogens is highly important, to cleaners and staff, to prevent any illness or death. Bloodborne Pathogens are pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, (HCV), (HIV), and (HBV). In Which, those diseases are the most common at-risk ones, just by way of working in a medical facility.

In my profession, we can face many situations that can potentially cause us to come into contact with blood or body fluid from many individuals. So it is imperative, for cleaners and workers to know how to remove trash, syringes and doing laundry soiled with blood. Knowing the precautions of handling, those things can again prevent exposure, spreading, illnesses or even death.

Being knowledgable on Bloodborne Pathogens is truly great knowledge to have. It makes a safer workplace for everyone involved and the people being cared for. NOW, I truly understand the importance of why cleaners and staff need this certification.

Implementing healthcare cleaning practices in other areas is a good standard to go with as usually the standards are higher in these facilities.  Taking these key ideals and using them elsewhere should be the trend for the future.  The training may be more but in the end I believe it is the smart thing to do.

When it comes to residential cleaning, personally these are the most drastic when it comes to a standard of cleaning.  For the simple fact that everybody has an idea of what clean is, this leads to differences in how residential homes are viewed.  Applying healthcare cleaning tactics in residential homes is just as important as commercial and healthcare facilities.  Bringing germs home could almost be worse as people often do not clean residential homes as in depth as commercial and healthcare.

Commercial cleaning could greatly benefit from using medical cleaning tactics as usually these facilities are greatly occupied and have greater risk of becoming a hot spot for germs and viruses.  By being more diligent in how we approach and clean commercial buildings, we can help combat how germs spread and whom gets sick.  These two facilities go hand in hand when it comes to occupancy and how germs are spread.

Ultimately applying medical cleaning tactics to other areas in the janitorial sector are ideal and steps should be taken to do so.  These tactics are better, more thorough and offer better solutions to cleaning.  Ideally training employees to have one standard of cleaning, but this standard be that of a healthcare facility is the way of the future!

Bloodborne pathogens is something to take seriously on how to approach each Cleaning. It's very important for employers and employees to obtain proper training and certification to assure their safety and others. Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in (HIV), (HBV), and (HCV) are three of the most common bloodborne pathogens from which health care workers are at risk and anyone dealing with Cleaning bloodborne. Wearing appropriate PPE such as gloves, goggles, and mask are few of examples on how to protect yourself depending on each situation. Having proper training for employees plays a huge role for their safety and others. For example, if employees come across during cleaning, laundry, or removing trash where they might be in contact with infections material knowing how to approach these situations can make the difference between life and death. Knowing how to proper clean and disinfect areas can safe not only employees’ life’s but also anyone being around scene after being cleaned. Disposing contaminated objects is also as important on how to approach them, employers play a huge role on providing proper color coded  containers, PPE, and training and specific OSHA documentation.

With so much emphasis on disinfecting and cleaning these days because of the Covid-19 Virus we have turned to deep cleaning and remediation practices. As business owners we have a code of ethics and need to follow the CDC guidelines given us so we are doing the job that is necessary to curb the spread.

People are looking for alternative methods to clean and disinfect the spaces they occupy. Many are looking to us professionals to help them in that decision. But how can we when even though a label says disinfectant on it it does not mean it is safe nor does it have broad kill claims and is not listed as so by The EPA list of chemicals. Trust me they are out there.

By doing our homework, by researching and creating disinfectants that are safe and affordable we can free the world of harmful chemicals and by doing so help our clients and grow our businesses.

Customer service is an art and a science of understanding what your customer needs are. Customer service means service that is personalized, service that provides connection to the experience, service that offers a solution before the customer asks for it and service that is fast. The great customer service starts here at www.ijcsa.org where you get training on various subjects. Reading member posts is a great way to learn on how to treat your customers.

"The customer is always right". This is an old saying that still carries a lot of weight today. Customers expects engagements with them to be personalized. If you see your customers as just another number then you will not be in business for long especially right now. When dealing with customers you have to be straight up with them e.g if you have a non-return policy you need to say it upfront. The days of reading in between the lines are long gone.

If you are looking for trained and certified cleaning service, go to IJCSA https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices

Customer service is a very important yet over looked portion of the janitorial sector.  To me good customer service is the difference between a good product and a great product. Many people do not understand how far this can take not only the company but a personal career.

Great customer service starts with listening.  If someone cannot understand what the customer wants or needs, how can you properly fulfill what they are looking for?  The very basis of humanity is built off of communication and customer service runs hand in hand with that.  When someone is purchasing a product, for certain, the last thing someone remembers is how well they were treated.

This becomes very important when in the janitorial sector because of the amount of interaction an employee will encounter.  Having a good product will only get you so far, customer service is the difference!  Applying what the customer wants when combined with great service is the key to a happy customer and excellent product!
