As we all know, all of the sudden the changes has forced themselves upon us,  we must adjust and make changes in order to stay on top and move on.

The whole meaning of clean has totally changed for good, so for me as janitor doing house cleaning, Coronavirus has forced me to take the concept of cleaning to the next level, so now it's not longer about general cleaning but is also much more disinfection. People want it and are demanding it, and I'm glad to provide a professional service that will help keep everyone safe.

They said with every crisis there comes an opportunity, not that I wanted it this way to happen, but it is here and somebody has to do the cleaning properly, --that's why I'm with IJCSA taking this highly accredited certification

First of all let me just start by saying that I didn't even know that there was procedures and special products for carpet cleaning. I really thought like house cleaning anyone could do it but I was truly wrong.

It truly is important to educate yourself no matter what field you are in, and for me as a cleaning technician, I realize the need for the carpet cleaning certification program an the health benefits from getting your carpet clean on a regular basis.

In the Bahamas there's is a high rate of adults an children suffering for aliments such as asthma, sinus and other allergies . Implementing the carpet program could save a lot of homes from the experience of having to see a doctor every time there is an attack. This is how an why I plan to implement the carpet cleaning program into my business.

This day in age it is more important than ever to have a properly cleaned health facilities. This ensures the safety of the patients and the employees. IJCSA (https://www.ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices) has experienced cleaning services to fit your needs.

Making sure your staff is trained in bloodborne pathogens and medical cleaning is one way to make sure infections do not spread through your facility. Understanding what to do in case of contact is also important. Proper disinfecting will limit and control the growth of microorganisms that cause diseases and infections.

1 out of 20 people in the hospital will contract a healthcare associated infection. So it is critical to understand how diseases and infections spread, and how to limit the spread of the infections.

Janitors and janitorial staff often go overlooked in an average persons daily life. The cleanliness of many buildings and properties are usually something people take for granted when going about their day. Unless a person is in the cleaning or janitorial field its completely understandable why this is a common occurrence.

The cleaning of large and small buildings alike are very important to the health and well being of the general population. It is the sole responsibility of janitors and cleaning personnel to uphold these standards to keep others safe. These cleaning jobs often go unnoticed when are routinely performed so well and the cleanliness becomes an expectation without knowing all the work that goes into it.

Like in any other field, there are uneducated cleaners and cleaners that take their job seriously.  Constant and consistent education is necessary for those who make cleaning knowledge a priority. Some of best information can be found at the Janitorial Directory along with the business that pride their selves in this information. These companies are always looking into better cleaning techniques, learning in depth about cleaners and there uses, and figuring out the best way to prevent sickness's and illness's from multiple types of workplaces.

Many people may never fully appreciate all the work and perseverance it takes to be a highly educated cleaner. Even if this is the case, it doesn't change how important cleaners and janitorial workers are the to a keeping a society safe from germs and harmful bacteria that cause life threatening diseases. I am personally very thankful for all those janitors and cleaners that treat their job as a career and take pride in their work. They save more lives than many can fathom.

There are a few benefits I believe to have when implementing a mold cleaning program into your business.

1.) Helping people understand the dangers that come with living with mold in their household. There are alot of people that don't know what health issues can come from mold.

2.) More knowledge for everyone involved! When it comes to mold the more you know the safer everyone is. Knowing the signs of mold and or a mold infestation will save health, money and time.

3.) Having the clients best interested in a better healthy life. As a cleaner being welcomed into someones home to perform a service for them your top priority is the safety of not only yourself but your clients. If you notice a mold issue notification to the client should be the first thing you should do along with offering services to help fix the issue.

4.) Implementing a mold cleaning program into your business will show clients that you are not just here to dust or sweep and mop floors, you are here to help them get through a stressful time. Dealing with mold can be daunting and cost a ton of money. Knowing that you may be able to help the client solve the problem or even improve the problem gives them some relief.

Bloodborne Pathogens are pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, Hepatitis B Virus and Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Most occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens occur when the pathogen comes in contact with the employees mucas membrane like the nose or mouth or breaks in the skin. Body fluids like blood, vomit, and saliva can contain bloodborne pathogens. You could easily protect yourself from coming into contact by following universal precautions. The Centers for Disease Control And prevention established the Universal Precautions approach, recommending that blood and certain body fluids from all patients be considered potentially infections and that the infection precautions be taken to minimize the risk of exposure.

Always follow universal precautions even your work precautions when handling contaminated materials this means at all times assume that all blood and body fluids are contaminated with bloodborne pathogens and you should follow proper protective practices when handling a clean up or a exposure. Protective Practices is color coding or labeling laundry is acceptable if all the soiled laundry is handled using universal precautions and the labeling or color coding is sufficient to let all employees know that compliance with universal precautions is required. If laundry is shipped to a location that is shipped that does not use universal precautions the bags or containers must be labeled properly and color coded red or orange. Needles or other sharp objects may be hidden within the laundry wear personal protective gear if you are handling contaminated laundry. You are responsible for containing the bloodborne pathogens and decontaminating the area so someone else isn't exposed.

It is important to clean and disinfect the area with the appropriate disinfectant cleaner and after a cleanup procedure always remove and dispose of your gloves and other equipment in the proper labeled container then thoroughly wash your hands after you remove the gloves goggles or any other personal protective equipment. Good hand washing helps reduce the spread of infection and disease. All cleaning equipment that was used during a cleanup or exposure must be disinfected. If you have been exposed to bloodborne pathogens contact your supervisor for specific instructions on exposure protocol and notify your doctor and pay attention to your health and watch for any symptoms that are related to HIV or HBV. OSHA requires that each job site which there is a reasonable likelihood of bloodborne pathogen exposure have a written control plan and it must be kept updated and reviewed at least annually and is a important part to protect yourself and your supervisor should provide a copy. OSHA requires specific documents from your employer. When an exposure occurs, your employer must maintain certain records for three years after the exposure. Take the time to read your facility written exposure plan. Also always take universal precautions when there is a chance you could be exposed to bloodborne pathogens.

Never eat, drink, smoke, or apply lip balm in areas in which there is a possibility of a bloodborne pathogen exposure. Never reuse towels or sponges and never compress trash because it could splatter and spill. Handle contaminated laundry cautiously, use properly labeled or color coded containers and bags when disposing of or transporting materials contaminated with bloodborne pathogens, this includes gloves, laundry and equipment. You play an important role in preventing or reducing contact with bloodborne pathogens to others as well as yourself.
