American Osment acquires Central Products

American Osment said it has acquired Central Products of Montgomery for an undisclosed sum.

American Osment is a 35-year-old janitorial and chemical supply company based in Birmingham with annual sales of $22 million. The acquisition will add 18 employees to its roster of 100, including Central Products’ chief Doug Collinsworth.

The purchase also will add 600 new customers to American Osment’s customer base of 5,000 statewide, said a news release.

American Osment operates a 90,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom in Birmingham and a 10,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom in Tuscaloosa.
