He said: "Twenty years of chain smoking. Guys, this is what happens if you never clean your walls and you're a super-heavy smoker.

So, basically, we got a call from the owner of this property, saying they have a new tenant moving in and they need it cleaned before they could get in there."

In response to this report, a source told the NY Daily News that Kardashian hired a third-party vendor to organize the cleaning service for her Hidden Hills property. She was reportedly unaware of how this vendor allegedly handled the workers that they hired.

The source said, “Kim has no knowledge and is most certainly not at fault for the vendor and his agreements with his employees." A rep for Kardashian also released a statement to TMZ that also stressed that the reality star had no knowledge of the alleged treatment of the workers since she left those decisions up to the vendor that she hired. Her rep added, "Kim has never not paid a vendor for their services and hopes that the issue between these workers and the vendor who hired them can be amicably resolved soon."

A Doral-based cleaning company is under fire once more for allegedly violating labor laws. Greene Kleen of South Florida is accused of union busting and retaliating against employees attempting to organize, according to charges filed by the local chapter of the Service Employees International Union Thursday.

Greene Kleen janitors went on strike Thursday night in downtown Doral, walking off the job to protest what they say are threats, surveillance and firings over the workers’ organizing efforts.

The charges filed to the National Labor Relations Board, the federal agency that enforces labor laws, allege that company owner Cira Figueroa refused to leave an organizing meeting between janitors and union organizers in April.

Atlanta — Prompted by available data and studies that show the risk of contracting COVID-19 via contact with surfaces is low, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is relaxing its exposure-prevention guidance on cleaning and disinfecting.

Act Now! Wear a mask. Stay 6 feet apart. Avoid crowds.

Cleaning and disinfecting has been a key element of CDC guidance during the pandemic. Now, in a science brief issued April 5 and based on available epidemiological data and studies of environmental transmission factors, the agency says, “Surface transmission is not the main route by which SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus that causes COVID-19) spreads.” Instead, the highest risk of transmission is via exposure to respiratory droplets carrying the virus.

CDC adds: “Cleaning surfaces using soap or detergent, and not disinfecting, is enough to reduce risk.” However, disinfection is still recommended in indoor work environments where a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 was present within the past 24 hours.

Life is messy. And come springtime, many of us know we should be sweeping, washing, and scrubbing our way toward a fresher home. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy, of course. According to a new survey conducted by the Consumer Insights team at Living Spaces, it’s what people would rather do than clean is especially interesting.

Does the sound of a dentist’s drill make you cringe? According to the survey of 464 people, 35 percent of respondents would choose a trip to the dentist for a teeth cleaning over partaking in spring cleaning. Other things people would rather do over scrubbing their home ’til the cows come home? 27 percent said they’d rather wake up early and run a mile for an entire week, while 26 percent said they’d rather give up alcohol for a month. Just under 20 percent said they’d rather give up Netflix for a month, while 15 percent said they’d even give up coffee for a month if it meant they didn’t have to clean.
