I have been in the cleaning field for twenty years ,  over time I have built my career as a cleaning professional I have made great strides  in my cleaning career through dedication and hard work I have built a great clientele base over the years whom I value you greatly and attribute for my greater success . I am OCD a germophobic by nature my instinct is clean , I am a strong innovative cleaner that knows how to bust through and remove grime , always a front runner in safety for me and my clients .I am a  detail oriented cleaner  and  have exceptional organizing techniques as well as design I always follow through with a showroom finish on every cleaning job I complete .

I was a young single mother my only skill at the time was being a mom and homemaker working endless jobs to make ends meet while attending classes  and paying my way through college I worked hotels and other no end jobs barely making ends meet then I discovered I could clean on my own I landed a new construction contract through my fathers long time best friend it didn't take long until the money started flowing in I have been building different avenues ever since cleaning residential ,  commercial ,  and new construction .

I can honestly say the last five years have been my best growth and strongest clientele base I ever had I have built my growth through strong customer service skills dedication and hard work has gained me great PR  word of mouth and referrals through past and current clients is what has created my biggest growth thus far  . My clients are  people that I have grown to love knowing and caring for their needs for so many years some more recent than others  I consider them friends as well as an extension of family when you are working for the same costumers throughout the years would be hard not too in my opinion  . Up until a few months ago I was very confident within my skill and experience as a cleaning professional to clean and disinfect for my clients keeping them safer every clean giving extra protection through the cold and flu season then Covid - 19 came , when I realized  how serious the pandemic was I suspended business immediately even before the state started shutting down I knew this virus was bigger than anything I had ever experienced . My instinct was to immediately start looking for more astringent PPE for proper protection for my personal protection as well as my clients protection I immediately thought to seek training and certification for bio hazard cleaning  did a quick search online and found IJCSA I was navigating the website and found I could get certified in biohazard cleaning but first I would have to get certified in hazardous chemicals customer service , residential cleaning specialist  then move on to bio hazard cleaning certification  IJCSA also has many other certifications available . I have had a lot of fun taking these refresher course study for these certifications has reminded me of the importance of chemical safety and the different resources out their for us professionals .

For me the key advantages of hiring a cleaning professional that has passed the IJCSA RCS Certification is for safety professionalism  and good cleaning performance providing a better experience when hiring a house cleaner . hiring  a IJCSA RCS Certified cleaner advantages in safety is a front runner in this dangerous time with Covid - 19 looming in my opinion is a must for a cleaning professional to train for safety in all aspects IJCSA RCS Certified cleaners certify in bloodborne pathogens , hazardous chemical , cleaning skill and safety definitely is an advantage for you to insure to your clients you are ready and qualified for the job moving forward .

Topps Cleaning Service believes that occupational health, safety, and knowledge about bloodborne pathogens is crucial, particularly for our cleaning employees and staff. Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms present in blood that can cause diseases in humans. This group of pathogens includes, but is not limited to, Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV), and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Given the nature of cleaning tasks, which often involve exposure to bodily fluids, it is imperative that our staff be well-informed and adequately trained to handle such hazards.

Our facility employees such as janitors, housekeepers, custodians, and cleaners may be at risk of exposure to blood and other body fluids in the workplace. If proper precautions are not taken, exposure to these pathogens can easily lead to infectious diseases.

Organizations, like Topps Cleaning Service, are required by law to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards regarding bloodborne pathogens. These regulations mandate employee training, the implementation of exposure control plans, and the provision of necessary protective equipment. Compliance not only ensures the safety of our employees but also protects Topps Cleaning Service from legal liabilities associated with non-compliance.

Our educated and well-trained cleaning staff play a critical role in preventing the spread of infectious diseases within the workplace. By following proper protocols, our employees can minimize the risk of contamination and ensure a safer environment for everyone. This is particularly important in healthcare settings, schools, and other public facilities where the risk of exposure is higher.

Topps Cleaning Service, as well as other members of the IJCSA, prioritize employee safety and protection from the risks that these pathogens pose.

Knowing about bloodborne pathogens (BBPs) is essential for cleaning staff to prevent exposure to serious, life-altering illnesses like HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, which can be contracted from blood or bodily fluid spills, needles, and contaminated waste. As the first line of defense in various environments, cleaning personnel who understand these hazards can effectively utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to minimize infection risks. Training not only keeps workers safe but is also a critical legal requirement, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and avoiding heavy fines.

Proper training empowers employees to adopt a "Universal Precautions" mindset—treating all human blood and body fluids as infectious—which is critical for preventing accidental transmission, especially when cleaning up vomit, blood, or handling trash. When staff are educated, they are more confident and less likely to make, or react poorly to, mistakes during biohazardous situations, such as, say, improper disposal of sharps or contaminated materials. This knowledge is critical for safely, efficiently, and legally managing cleanup situations.

Ultimately, a knowledgeable cleaning team fosters a safer, more sanitary environment for everyone in a building. This, in turn, boosts professionalism and company reputation, showing a clear commitment to public safety and employee welfare. For the employer, this proactive approach—providing necessary training, PPE, and clear protocols—reduces liability and protects their workforce.

Properly cleaning healthcare facilities is about far more than making spaces look clean—it’s about protecting people. Hospitals, clinics, and care facilities serve individuals who may already be vulnerable, and without strong healthcare cleaning and infection prevention practices, harmful bacteria, germs, and viruses can spread quickly. This puts patients, staff, and visitors at risk and increases the likelihood of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).

Healthcare environments are filled with high-touch surfaces that are used all day long, from bed rails and exam tables to door handles and restrooms. Effective environmental services (EVS) teams rely on EPA-registered disinfectants, proper dwell time, and standardized cleaning methods to reduce cross-contamination and create safer spaces. These healthcare-grade practices are what truly support patient safety and public health.

At its core, proper healthcare cleaning builds trust, safety, and accountability. Partnering with AtomClean LLC and other trained professionals' found in the IJCSA directory members of the International Janitorial Cleaning Service Association helps ensure facilities meet high standards while staying focused on what matters most: care, protection, and healing.

Implementing medical cleaning practices into residential and commercial cleaning starts with adopting a higher standard of sanitation and attention to detail. Medical cleaning focuses on infection prevention, which means prioritizing thorough disinfection rather than just surface-level cleaning. In homes and businesses, this can be applied by identifying and routinely disinfecting high-touch areas such as light switches, door handles, countertops, remote controls, keyboards, and restroom fixtures. Using proper dwell times for disinfectants—allowing products to sit long enough to kill germs—also brings a healthcare-level mindset into everyday cleaning.

Another key medical cleaning practice that translates well to other environments is the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and cross-contamination control. Wearing gloves, changing them between rooms, and using color-coded microfiber cloths help prevent spreading germs from one area to another. Cleaning from the least contaminated areas to the most contaminated areas, a standard in healthcare settings, can easily be applied in homes and offices to ensure germs are not transferred throughout the space during the cleaning process.

Documentation and consistency are also hallmarks of medical cleaning that can strengthen residential and commercial services. Creating checklists, standardized procedures, and routine schedules ensures that every area is cleaned to the same high standard every time. In commercial buildings, this approach builds accountability and reassures clients that their space is being maintained with care and precision. Consistent training for cleaning staff further reinforces these practices and elevates overall service quality.

Finally, medical cleaning emphasizes prevention and long-term health, not just appearance. Applying this mindset to residential and commercial spaces means focusing on reducing illness, improving indoor air quality, and maintaining safer environments for occupants. By incorporating hospital-grade disinfectants, proper ventilation practices, and targeted cleaning of high-risk areas, cleaning providers can offer a higher level of protection and peace of mind. This approach transforms everyday cleaning into a proactive health service that benefits everyone who uses the space.

Properly cleaning healthcare facilities is critically important because patients in these environments are often more vulnerable to infection. Hospitals, clinics, and medical offices serve people with weakened immune systems, open wounds, or chronic illnesses, making even minor exposure to bacteria or viruses potentially dangerous. Thorough cleaning and disinfection of surfaces, equipment, and patient areas help reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), which can lead to longer recovery times, serious complications, or even loss of life.

In addition to protecting patients, proper cleaning safeguards healthcare workers and visitors. Doctors, nurses, support staff, and family members regularly come into contact with high-touch surfaces such as door handles, exam tables, waiting room chairs, and restrooms. Without strict cleaning protocols, germs can easily spread from room to room, putting everyone at risk. Consistent sanitation practices also help facilities comply with health regulations and maintain trust with the communities they serve.

Finally, a clean healthcare environment supports better outcomes and confidence in care. Patients are more likely to feel safe, respected, and comfortable when a facility is visibly clean and well maintained. This sense of trust can reduce stress, support healing, and reinforce the professionalism of the healthcare team. Proper cleaning is not just about appearance—it is a vital part of patient care, infection prevention, and overall public health.

Janitors and custodial staff are absolutely essential to daily life, even though their work often happens quietly in the background. Every school, hospital, office, store, and public building depends on them to function safely and smoothly. Clean floors prevent slips and falls, sanitized surfaces reduce the spread of illness, and properly maintained restrooms make public spaces usable and dignified. Without janitors, many of the spaces we rely on every single day would quickly become unsafe, unsanitary, and unwelcoming.

Beyond basic cleanliness, janitorial staff play a critical role in public health. Especially in environments like hospitals, medical offices, schools, and daycare centers, thorough cleaning and disinfection can literally save lives. Removing germs, bodily contaminants, and allergens helps protect vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. During outbreaks of illness, custodial workers are often the first line of defense, ensuring that high-touch surfaces are properly cleaned and that infections are less likely to spread.

Janitors also contribute to our mental well-being and sense of respect for shared spaces. Clean, orderly environments reduce stress, increase productivity, and help people feel valued and cared for. When a building is well maintained, it sends a message that the people inside matter. Janitorial staff take pride in their work, and that pride shows in the comfort and confidence we feel when we walk into a clean space. In many ways, janitors are unsung heroes—supporting health, safety, and dignity in our everyday lives.
