Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms present in the blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include but are not limited to: Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the virus that causes Aids. Bloodborne pathogens can be transmitted through contact with human blood and other potentially infectious body fluids.

Workers exposed to bloodborne pathogens are at risk for serious or life-threatening illnesses. OSAH's Bloodborne Pathogens standard can be found in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations at 29 CFR 1910.1030. The standard's requirements state what employers must do to protect workers who are occupationally exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM). This standard protect workers who can reasonably anticipated to come in contact with blood or OPIM as a result of doing their jobs.

Employees of cleaning companies come into contact with blood or OPIM on a daily bases. The dangers that lurks in the workplace form bloodborne pathogens aren't always visible to the naked eye, yet if expose to could change your life for ever. As a result employees must be familiar with the dangers of bloodborne pathogens as well as the steps they must take to protect themselves and others from BBP exposures.

Not from lack of trying or drying up all the water that my boys splash around in the tub we still manage to get mold in the seams of the tub inside and out. I was just using bleach and water and that wasn't working so i asked my mom and she suggested CLR. This product doesn't have the strong smell of chemicals like bleach so for that i loved this product. Its been a little over 4 days and i haven't seen any return of the mold. Tonight I am going to clean up and dry the area real well then spray the CLR to try to prevent it from returning. I will keep you all updated on how well the product is working for me. So far i am very pleased with this product.

    Mold Cleaning

Molds are a part of the natural environment and can be anywhere there is a water source. Mold is usually not a problem until it starts to grow inside of the house and then you need to make sure you fix the problem and dry the area completely. If not mold can begin to grow within 48-72 hours. The best way to control mold is to control moisture.

Beware of the Green-Washed, Snake-Oil Salesmen

Green Cleaning is a hot topic lately, as it should be, there are huge benefits to making the switch to green cleaning. Committing to green cleaning means that you’re putting your health and environment first and there are benefits for all involved. However, some less than honorable companies are taking advantage of this trend by advertising themselves as “green”, when they are not. These companies are modern-day snake-oil salesmen, saying anything to close the deal and breaking the consumer trust in the market.

Consumers have to be wary and on the lookout for companies looking to make a quick buck off of the green cleaning movement. There are so many green-washed charlatans that it can be hard for a consumer to know their legitimacy. Green Cleaning is challenging everything about the modern-day cleaning industry. Why do we have to use caustic and toxic chemicals to clean our homes and businesses? Why do our products HAVE to have these terrible ingredients that destroy our bodies and the environment?

Isn’t there a better way to clean that solves all of this? Yes! That’s why green cleaning is the way of a more conscious future. Oxi-Thyme’s proprietary blend of CDC approved Hydrogen Peroxide and Thyme oil is an environmentally safe alternative to traditional cleaning methods

and eliminates the need for our customers to be continuously exposed to toxic carcinogens that affect their lungs and health.

Coming in contact with someone else's blood or other bodily fluids is dangerous, this could cause illness or death. Bloodborne Pathogens are pathogenic microorganisms that appear in human blood can cause diseases such as Hepatitis B and Human Immune deficiency disease, leading to serious illness such as liver disease or AIDs.

Any occupation where body floods such as blood, vomit, or saliva may exist is called occupational exposure. This means that pathogens are capable of coming in contact with the worker's mucus membrane, nose, mouth; or it may break the skin with needles pricks and cuts.

The CDC established the Universal Precaution approach, which means that all blood and bodily fluids should be considered infectious and care should be taken in order to minimize the risk of exposure. Owners and employees should always follow universal precautions. Each job site should have a written exposure control plan that is updated annually. Supervisors should be able to provide this plan upon request.

    Present and Future Health:

Health and cleanliness is the number 1 priority on everyone’s mind.  Covid-19 reminded us of the importance of cleanliness practices and how imperative they are to our continued good health. The supermarkets carry cleaning products that help decontaminate our everyday items from the virus, but at what cost?

Most modern-day cleaners contain ingredients such as chlorine and added fragrances, which are actually known to be highly toxic and dangerous. These cleaners are known for their carcinogens and long term environmental impacts. Unlike these chemical cocktails, Oxi-Thyme’s non-toxic, proprietary blend of CDC approved Hydrogen Peroxide and Thyme oil is an environmentally safe alternative.

Safe for the environment, and safe for you. Oxi-Thyme’s green cleaning process uses the power of Thyme to create instability in the cell membranes of bacteria, fungi, and other pathogens and leads to their eventual collapse. All of this is bad news for bacteria and great news for you.Once the cell membranes have collapsed, the cell content releases and disperse, no longer capable of harming humans or organic surfaces. Oxi-Thyme’s green cleaning process program ensures that your (and the environment’s) health is safe, for the present and the future.
