I plan to implement a division of Mold Cleaning to my business by further investigation and additional certification. I would like to find someone locally who may be willing to mentor me. I believe the benefits will be abundant in my community. There aren't many companies around here that offer mold remediation, so it would be a nice thing to offer my clientele.

Some additional benefits, would be to have a more knowledgeable, serious minded team. Additional specialty training is very important to building a strong team. I believe our clients will appreciate all of our knowledge in addition to our established high quality cleaning.

As an owner/ operator with a Green Cleaning Certification, Metro Atlanta

Cleaning will be able to foster the knowledge and ability to apply it to our

unmatched cleaning standards that we are currently using. The Green

Cleaning Certification will also enable me to become a better trainer to

my present and future employees, which in turn provides for better overall

health protection for the employees, the customer, and their pets as wells

as E.P.A. accountability for what we put back into the environment.

The Green Cleaning Certification has turned my attention to many of the

cleaning flaws that various cleaning companies are currently practicing,

much to the detriment of the user and environment.

Acquiring the Green Cleaning Certification will also allow Metro Atlanta

Cleaning to help educate our customers on the harm of various VOCs

(volatile organic compounds) that they may be using; in addition to helping

to promote a Green Cleaning conscience community.

Our mission at Metro Atlanta Cleaning is to, “Clean with a Purpose”,

becoming a IJCSA Green Cleaning Certified member

(https://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services) will allow us to move

    forward with our mission.

DID YOU KNOW: Environmentalists estimate that an average household's

cleaning products contribute about 8% of total non-vehicular emissions of

organic compounds, which not only pollute the air, but also cause eye,

nose, and lung irritation, as well as rashes, headaches, nausea, asthma,

    and, in some cases, cancer.

There are many cleaning companies that promote “green cleaning

services”, and most are forth coming in really admitting to the fact that the

products are labeled green products; however, if one were to really probe

into the everyday practices of these “green cleaning” companies it would be

found that there is,“green washing” being performed in homes and

    businesses.

Not so, with IJCSA Certified Green Cleaning Companies. The cleaning

companies that are located in our directory have been tested, tried, and true

to what the certification entails: knowledge of VOCs, better natural cleaning

practices, and E.P.A. accountability for our actions toward the environment.

The world has been bombarded with so many environmentally damaging

products and chemicals that major companies like SC Johnson have taken

note to the benefits of helping to employ a green cleaning program for

families and companies. With the introduction of more “green cleaning”

products like, Method, Mrs. Myers, and Seventh Generation this will help

environmentally conscience individuals make a better choice for their

companies and families. Thus, helping to reduce the carbon footprint many

of us have been leaving behind.

Going green with cleaning will also help businesses to save money as well

as improving safety standards for employees, which boost productivity and

attendance. Having a green cleaning program is the safest, most cost

effective, healthiest way to tackle any cleaning job, whether residential or

    commercial.

The cleaning and janitorial industries are not spared from needing quaility skills in customer services.  On the contrary, this particular industry must be highly trained in customer service and IJCSA, International Janitorial Cleaning Services Association, members have the knowledge and training to deliver excellence in both service and communication with clients.

IJCSA members have been trained to hear, understand and care for there customers by implementing specific methods of customer service training.  When a customer feels like someone is listening to them, aknowledges and empathises with their situation they will be more willing to become a repeat customer who recommends the company to others.

The basics of customer service communication is taught to IJCSA members like setting a customer at ease by greeting them with a smile, eye contant and pleasing comments or developing report.  When speaking with a potential client or trying to solve a current client issue, members will truly listen to the needs and provide possible solutions. It is important to note that when a problem is being solved, businesses must clarify that the provided solution does in fact meet the needs of the client.  Lastly, IJCSA members are trained to always follow up with clients which provides valuable insight into performance and creates a continual presence in front of the client.

Proper Bloodborne Pathogen training is vital to any and all janitorial companies since there is a high probability that a team member will find themselves addressing a situation involving potentially infectious bodily fluids.

A properly trained team member will be in a position to recognize the inherent risks involved with possible exposures, the proper Personal Protective Equipment needed to safely perform the work,  required reporting, and proper disposal of dangerous or contaminated items.   Maintaining proper safety guidelines will ensure that your staff and customers remain healthy and safe.  Proper training will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and limit liability for failing to properly train team members.

Bloodborne pathogen training should be considered a starting point to the long road of continued training fro both employers and employees.   Protecting the health of one's team members should be the priority for any reputable business owner or supervisor!

It is of utmost importance for anyone involved in the cleaning industry or any job that may expose you to blood that they are trained and aware of exactly how to handle any situation regarding sharps and blood with diligence. It is required by law that any occupations that handle these situations be certified and trained.

For the safety and well being of employer and employees you must be aware of exactly what to do and how to do it in regards to handling blood and sharps. if you are not aware and trained properly with bloodborne pathogens it can come with serious consequences.

There can be potentially fatal risks if handling these situations unaware and uneducated. If you are currently employed and handling situations like these without any means of training or certifications then I encourage you to immediately contact your employer and request training as your employer must cover cost for this training.

IJCSA is here to help you improve your customer service skills. If you want to improve how your staff approaches upset guest, clients, members this is the course to take,

You will learn that it involves much more than answering questions over the phone. While there's plenty of overlap in the customer service skills required to do a great job, each customer service channel benefits from a unique approach to these skills.

For example, there are important customer service skills associated with phone support, such as empathy, how you communicate, your friendliness in person and over the phone.

There are skills we should approach when servicing customer/clients

Customers want to be heard, understand them, let them vent out their problems, the next one that’s a very common thing to do S.E.C Smiles this can be translated through the phone or face to face when checking in a guest, handing over a cup of coffee Eye contact– show your customers you are listening and care about what they are saying Comment –a friendly comment. people love to be seen or acknowledged. Listen, When customers are upset or frustrated, they might not be able to take in what you say—even if it’s the right answer. Listen first, let them calm down, and then try to help solve their problems. Empathy is a crucial ability in customer service, so make sure you know exactly what you're showing empathy towards. Create a solution to the issue, customers need to feel heard, so tell them that you understand the reason and let them know how you’re going to fix the issue they are approaching you with. Clarify the situation with the client, repeat the information to them with supportive language, make sure they are satisfied to Follow up with all your customer, this one is very important as David Brownie mentioned because this will get your customers to understand you care and give a recommendation, call them, email them do the drip campaign by sending a bulk email to all and offering discount invites, etc…

With everything that's going on now our customer service skills will have to play a big part in how we can keep the customers we have built. Make sure to reach out to all and show your support during these times.
