Good customer service is important in any business but specifically in services such as the janitorial profession. According to video there are seven things that make up good customer service. These things are, the things that every customer want, to be heard, understood and feel important, SEC which i will explain in the next paragraph, listen to the customer, emphasize with the customer, create solutions to your clients problems, clarify the solution, and follow up with the solution. All of these things are equally important when providing good customer service.
Something on the list that is important to dig into in detail is S.E.C. which stands for, smile, eye contact, comment. It is important to always provide service with a smile. As customers we have come to expect that service people smile at us. Eye contact is another essential aspect of the customer relationship that is necessary. It's odd when someone doesn't look you in the eye. Lastly is comment. While listening is important, commenting to customers on solutions is very important as well.
