I've been using green alternatives to clean my house for years. Recently I've began implementing green cleaning in my business as well. lts's not only better for you but it is also less hazardous on the environment.
They offer many cleaners on the market and the majority of them contain harmful chemicals that can cause negative side effects. I've been using more friendly alternatives. One example is Peroxide! Instead of using bleach that has a overwhelming smell that can cause damage to the lungs and organs. Peroxide can sanitize the same without the terrible smells. Its works great on kitchen counters and sinks even cutting boards. On larger surfaces like in the shower I use a mix of vinegar and dawn and boy can it make a shower door shine! Cuts through soap scum like no other.
Some other steps I've taken is using norwex glass rags instead of paper towels. Not only is it more cost effective but really does make the glass cleaner by not leaving any streaks or residue from the paper towels. We also use mops that have removable washable pads instead of disposable pads or mops with heads you arent able to take off and wash.
I'll continue to find green alternatives and provide safer and greener approaches for my customers. Everyone loves a clean house and it's a good feeling to know your not harming yourself or the environment In the process.
