There are a plethora of reasons why having your carpets and upholstery professionally cleaned is incredibly important. It is sometimes overlooked unless there are noticeable spills or stains, but there are many benefits that adopting a routine carpet and upholstery cleaning schedule can provide, at a residence, or a place of business.

One reason to have carpets and upholstery professionally cleaned is that, even though there may be no obvious spots or stains, fabric can hold hidden dirt, dust, microbes, and dander, both from people and pets. We walk on our carpets, transferring anything from our shoes or feet onto it. We sit on upholstered chairs at our desks at work to eat lunch. We sit on our sofas and watch TV while snacking. Our kids and pets play outside, then lay on the carpeted floors and play. These are all fine and part of everyday life. But it just goes to show how important it is that these materials be cleaned on a regular basis, for the health and safety of ourselves, our families, our employees, and our clients.

From the perspective of a mother, and of a small business owner who provides residential and commercial cleaning service, I realize the incredible importance of maintaining the health and safety of the places we live and work. By offering professional upholstery and carpet cleaning services to clients, I will be giving them the opportunity for a full-spectrum and more thorough and deep cleaning. Cleaning and sanitizing obvious hard surfaces, such as kitchen counters, bathtubs, and tiled floors is just one part. By offering professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, I will be offering them a deeply, thoroughly cleaned home and business space, helping them to keep their families and employees healthier, and happier.

Another wonderful reason to maintain an upholstery and carpet cleaning routine is that doing so helps to prolong the fabric, and extends the life of the rugs, carpets, and furniture. Soil attracts soil, so having this professionally every 6 months will help to prolong the life of carpets and furniture, saving money in the long run.

It's an all-around wise decision, whether residential or commercial.

Your home is your investment and when looking for a cleaning service you should find a company that is IJCSA certified.  At Beach Home Cleanings we have taken all the courses to become a certified residential house cleaner.  To earn this certificate we were taught the correct way to clean different surfaces, the safety of using chemicals and the over all expectations of a residential house cleaner.

If you are in the market for a house cleaner then you should check out the IJCSA Member Directory for a list of great residential house cleaners that have taken the extra step to protect your investment.

Healthcare facilities require a higher standard level of cleaning than regular homes and offices as medical facilities have a higher concentration of germs and viruses, as well as risks of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

While the risks are higher in healthcare settings, homes and offices still contain the same risks. People come home and go to work sick, they bleed, and everything else that's found in medical settings. Therefore, it is best for cleaning professionals to use similar medical cleaning training and practices for cleaning non-medical areas. The same precautions and methods protect cleaners, workers, and residents.

Harmful bacteria, germs, and viruses are present all around us. We all must take care of ourselves by being informed and making wise choices to minimize our exposure and chances of getting sick or a disease. It's also imperative to use a certified cleaning company that understands and addresses these risks with proper cleaning technique, like WestStar Building Services here

By taking proper precautions and using medical cleaning procedures in non-medical facilities like homes and offices we are less likely to get sick and are keeping ourselves healthy which allows us to bring our best work and self to others.

In any industry where employees are at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens proper training following OSHA universal precautions for bloodborne pathogens is vital. Bloodborne pathogens pose a very real and dangerous threat to janitorial service and facility employees.

HIV & HBV and Coronovirus all potentially deadly diseases that could result from incorrect handling of contaminated items in the cleanup of a bloodborne pathogen incident. Many other pathogens could also pose a serious health risk to employees.

With proper training, correct PPE, and disinfectants that meet OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards employers can minimize risks to their staff and the general public.

On the subject of Cleaning, I train my Cleaning Crew with implementing CDC and OSHA rules and with the leaning tool that you can get from the IJCSA certification courses and video's.I have worked in The Medical Cleaning area for over 30 years. I have been a Environmental Services Aide, A Supervisor, and a Director of Environmental Services at Many Hospitals and Nursing Facilities. The same rules of Universal Precautions and the same methods that are used in Cleaning Patients rooms in The IJCSA courses, I use also when cleaning Doctors Offices and Residential Homes.
