How important is cleaning employees & staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens

28 Jan 2022 6:02 PM | Deleted user

It is very important for everyone that may become exposed to bloodborne pathogens to have knowledge of precautions to follow. Cleaning companies must be the offense and have the proper PPE, training for disposal of needles andproper disinfecting chemicals to clean items that may come in contact with bloodborne pathogens.

OSHA has created universal guidelines for all employers to follow to ensure employees treat all bodily fluids as possibly being contimated and contain bloodborne pathogens.

Every jobsite must have on hard and readily available upon request a written exposure control plan. This is a living document and must be updated to keep uo with the ever changing precautions from both OSHA and CDC. We all must be ready for any situation that may arise.
